Chaba Thai is a very popular Thai restaurant located in the Medlock Cinema where State Bridge road and Medlock meet. This place is gets packed at lunch time so try to come at a reasonable amount of time if you don't want to have to wait to get a table. The restaurant itself isn't too big. You could probably seat close to 20-30 people at best. The menu includes staples of moat Thai cuisine like curries, pad Thai, drunken noodle, coconut soups, and basil fried rice to name a few. The service here is alright. They do a good job of serving and accommodating your needs, but help can be sparce on busy days as I have seen. The food is great though if you compare it to the competition of the other Thai places in the area. All their dishes pack tons of flavor and spice. Man this place will put your mouth on fire if you ask for a spice level above you usual levels. Got to step up my spice game! Overall, this is one of my favorite spots for lunch and I would go here a lot more often if there wasn't such variety of restaurant choices to choose from in the area. I woudl recommend this place to anyone in the area if they wanted to grab some good Thai food or even some after a movie since the theater is in the same shopping center. Definitely check it out if you can! My Recommendations: -Spicy Thai Basil Fried Rice -Thai Tea -Coconut Soup

The pad see ew was very dry and didn’t have an ounce of sweet soy sauce or oil. I was very confused. I usually like mine spicy but when I asked for sriracha or chili paste, they didn’t have any (told me it was too expensive) so I said I would take it home and doctor it at home. The spicy basil fried rice was great and so was their Thai tea. Karita was really sweet and I had a great chat with her, just really wanted my dish to hit right, sad day but it’s okay, I took it home and put great things on it. The only spice they have here is the dry chili powder by the way.

Great little Thai spot. The food is money, and you can tell its going to be once you see the inside. They have dishes that not all Thai spots have. I highly recommend a dish called "Lad Na" Coconut soup was quality as well. Its located in-between Masti (Indian) and Ari (Korean bbq) Sometimes they take a little longer on pick up orders, but that's cause they are always busy. Plenty of parking all the time

I have been to Chaba Thai many times with my family and friends. Today we went there and the restaurant had few guests and there was only one one waitress for all the tables. We were waiting in our seats and the waitress came in dropped a couple of menus at the table and left. My kids were very hungry so after like 10 minutes, I went to the counter and said that we are ready to order. She took another 5 minutes to get to our table and then We ordered Chicken Satay, Tom Kha Soup, Spicy Basil Fried Rice, Panang Curry with Chicken and Chicken Pad Thai Noodle. All other food was okay, but my wife tasted the chicken pad thai Noodle and said the chicken did not taste okay, may be not fully cooked. I tried it and it seemed little uncooked. I called the waitress and said that the chicken in the Noodle was not cooked. She didn't even respond to me, she was not apologetic and did not even had the courtesy to say that I will check with chef . We were eating all other entrees that we ordered and waiting for the waitress to come back to us. She never came back to our table. We were done eating everything else except the pad thai noodle, she came back with the check. I asked her, why there was no response for my earlier comment on the chicken. She went in and got the chef/cook. The cook was another girl and she said that this is the same chicken that we served 60 customers today and no one complained. I told her, I don't know what you served to other customers but this chicken in the noodle tastes like little uncooked. She said again that this is the same chicken from the same bucket that we serve all customers and every one else likes it. And at the end she said something that ticked me off. She said "This is the way we cook it, may be you should not eat here". This is the worst customer service experience that I ever had, I just walked out of there ofcourse after paying for the Pad thai Noodle which we did not eat except the 2 pieces of the chicken we tasted. I am never going back...

Horrible experience. Food took over an hour to come out. They didn’t come to our table, ignored us, and dropped off our check before we were even half way done. When I went to the counter to ask about our food after an hour, they responded “cooking right now”. This was after they had already told us our food was coming out 15 min prior. Two tables that were sat 20 min after us had already received their food, check, and left before we even got out food.

They did not apologize or explain the situation. They also continued to ignore us, when we were clearly calling them. I have been a server for many years, so I would’ve understood if they just apologized. They just dropped off the food and check shortly after, not even checking on us.

A server came to check to see if we were ready to pay, when I asked about getting an appetizer off or a small discount for the inconvenience. I talked to a total of three people who responded rudely. Their point was it was busy, it’s already happened, so you have to pay. They also said it wasn’t their fault, ultimately putting the blame on us.

I have never had an experience like this. I’ve come to this restaurant many times, when it’s been great. I recommended that my friends and I eat here. I’m embarrassed for myself and this restaurant.

Will...
