Don't bother dining here unless you have at least four people with you. The bigger the party, the better you'll be serviced. My table of two had to wait an hour after being seated to even have someone take our order and then forever after that to receive our food. We observed another table of two having to wait at least a half hour to have their order taken as well, so at least I no longer have a reason to believe racism had any play in this (glad to see every small party is treated like trash here!), and I honestly don't know if they ever got served because we left the restaurant without having seen their waiter. Speaking of waiters: ours showed up a total of two times over the two hours we spent at the restaurant (15 minutes of which were spent actually eating food).
What's truly disappointing is that I was initially very excited to try this place as my wife had brought home some delicious chicken 65, and she herself had some panipuri she enjoyed very much. However, the service received was some of the worst I've had in my life. They even forgot to bring out the beverage my wife had ordered and tried to charge her for it. When advised that we'd like it removed from the check, it seemed a lot like the staff were aware of that fact, as they handed us a ready-made bill without the item on it. Who prepares two separate bills, itemized differently...? Anyway, all this could have maybe been offset by some good grub - only there was none. Their food comes with a TON of cilantro, even when you ask for it without. Even the previously-loved chicken 65 came out tasting about as mild as chicken wings without sauce (perhaps THIS was a race thing, seeing as I don't look like I'd enjoy spicy food...?) - a theme which would carry on throughout the evening. Neither of the two curries we had ordered were adequately seasoned. The tikka masala sauce was good, but the chicken was overcooked, and -despite its iconic red exterior- tasted like someone just boiled the chicken without doing so much as sprinkle some salt into the pot...and we paid extra for that? Prices in general are about 25% higher than you'd find just about anywhere else, while the portions are considerably smaller. Just sad. Very disappointed overall.
There are several superior Indian restaurants within 5 miles of this one, so I won't sweat it, but I really wish they hadn't wasted over an hour of my life which I could have utilized...
Read moreAfter reading the positive reviews for this restaurant we decided to try it out. If we would have focused on the negative ones as well we would not have gone through the horrible experience.
We ordered for take-out over the phone around 8:30 PM and were told that it would be ready for pickup within 20 mins. So we reached there around 9:00 giving the restaurant an additional 10 mins but when we reached there for pick up , the food was not ready. We waited there an additional 30 mins to get the food. Finally, we got the food and reached home. When we opened the food, we realized that one of the item (chicken burger) was missing. So we called the restaurant back to let them know. First of all, they did not acknowledge they missed one item and the phone was passed from one person to another then finally so called manager by the name Dilip took the call. He does not have any customer service skills and he was extremely rude. He offered no apologies and showed no empathy. He said that things like this happen and people forget, what can we do. Instead of being apologetic he asked us to come next time and he will give it to us. It was 10:15 PM , so we decided to eat what was available, not what kids were thrilled about. Okay, the saga doesn’t end there. We had also ordered dinner thali and had requested navratna korma and butter chicken as the main items and ended up receiving potato sabzi instead of butter chicken. Ordered papdi chat and ended up being soggy that I had to throw out. We had to call them again to let them know that the butter chicken was missing and papdi chat was soggy. I was told that it was my fault for not telling them to put the sauces on the side and no explanations for missing butter chicken. Overall the food we ate was also sub-standard and flavorless. Most horrible experience. After some back and forth, Payal tried to correct it by offering to deliver food the next day but that was not good enough, now we don’t even trust their food quality. Never wrote any reviews ever but this one, I just...
