I've something bad to say and something good. I never come during the week, but it must be somebody's off day. My order is always a hot spicy chai latte 16 ounce wipped cream cold foam on the side with an everything bagel and cream cheese. The spice was not there, temperature warm, I don't even know if they used half in half. It doesn't say it on the container. My whipped cream cold foam looks like it was just poured in the container and wasn't wipped or foamy. The lady who took my order initially was the same one that received me. She tried to fix my order, but the damage was already done. Even though she put extra pumps of spice into the cup It did not taste like what i'm used to from this establishment. I hope that problem is fixed by the next time I come back. Before that, my only problem was that they charge almost $5 for adding heavy cream instead of their other options. I bypass all establishments from San Antonio where I live just to come to Coffee.co for the flavor of their chai is amazing. Now you have me wondering what is actually in my cup. I wonder how much chai versus half and half. Is the chai fresh brew concentrate or pump syrup. In all fairness. I usually come on the weekends service is...
Read moreBasically, a carbon copy of a Starbucks, overpriced and small portions. I guess if this is the kind of eatery that your budget affords you, that's one thing. But the food was NOT good and the "Raspberry Cream Cheese Puff Pastry" is the identical item that you would buy at 7-11, poor quality, only smaller and warmed up.
The Quiche could not have been any smaller, it was literally 3 inches across and my daughter ordered spinach but got Bacon/Cheddar instead. The Cranberry Orange Scone was also tiny, even smaller than the Starbucks version.
The woman at the counter, when I ordered my "FRUIT" smoothie, kept asking me which smoothie I wanted, when there was only two and only one of them was called "FRUIT".. don't know what that was all about, but for $6.25, it was small and the seeds were such that you could not even eat them; totally hard and wouldn't even crunch down in your mouth. I ended up throwing half of it away.
These kind of trendy places, that serve small portions of lackluster food are common these days, but this is why I avoid them...
Read moreWe drive from San Antonio up 281 through Johnson City often to visit wineries along 290 and I always wished there was a coffee place along our route because I am bound to need some either on the way there or on the way back and yesterday when driving by my dreams finally came true! We pulled over as soon as we saw the big building (it's gorgeous!) and the sign and got in the drive-thru and then realized that we arrived minutes after the closed. We we're about to drive away but then someone popped their head out of the window and said they could serve us quickly even though they had already closed. SO NICE of them-- They didn't have to do that and it truly made my day and made me a forever customer! As I also dread that sleepy drive home after a few glasses of wine. That is above and beyond service and they did it with a smile. I didn't catch her name but she was brunette. I tried Kay's Honey Pecan Latte and is was perfect! Not too sweet! I can't wait to make this my regular stop...
