290 Locale Winery & Pizzeria — Restaurant in Johnson City

A bit of background first. I'm Italian with years of experience in hospitality/F&B. Was hopeful for this restaurant experience, and unfortunately it fell well below even basic standards of dining in every way. We arrived 1 hour after opening and even though it was a Saturday on a holiday weekend we were only the 2nd table of diners. This made more sense as each issue was observed. The floor was dirty, the table needed to be cleaned, there were at least 20 dead flies in the window next to our table and many more flying around that we had to battle throughout our meal, and the paper menus were filthy. Now to the food; the selection sounded exotic but interesting though very pricey even for someone from Las Vegas. The house salad was obviously out of a bag, pizzas were decent but didn't live up to the price. One of our party used the one and only bathroom which was filthy. It obviously hadn't been cleaned or stocked. The wait staff was nice, however young, inattentive and obviously inexperienced. With my background and the F&B professional backgrounds of other people in our party we were very disappointed, especially as we know what a great place...

I recently had the pleasure of dining here, and I couldn’t be more impressed. The pizza was nothing short of amazing – a perfect blend of flavors and freshness that left my taste buds dancing with delight. From the crispy crust to the flavorful toppings, every aspect of the pizza was a testament to the culinary expertise at 290 Locale winery and pizzeria.

The service was equally outstanding. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made the dining experience truly enjoyable. They anticipated our needs and provided recommendations with genuine enthusiasm. It’s clear that customer satisfaction is a priority for the team at 290 Locale.

In addition to the fantastic food and service, I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the restaurant. The attention to hygiene and order was evident throughout, creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere.

Overall, 290 Locale has set a high standard for pizza, service, and cleanliness. I highly recommend this establishment for anyone seeking a top-notch...

Great location, excellent food, and outstanding service! The better half and I walked in for lunch today and were blown away… Jennifer was there to greet us and took care of our food and drinks as well…and she did a great job, both with just being friendly as well as making some great suggestions. We asked what she likes and she recommended the Chicken Bianca New York Style (14 inch) with the Pancetta…that was a little off menu but totally was lights out! Tons of flavor, a razor thin crust, and just the right amount of toppings. For the appetizer, we ordered the Historic 290 Cheesy Bread…it’s a little Detroit style but also is gluten free…and unless we were told, would never have known it…literally the best garlic bread either of us have even had! Nice beer and wine selection…the lions share being Texas made. To top it off…free classic video games…did get in a few rounds of Pac~Man. Definitely...
