A multifaceted museum and grounds. Two excellent 30 minute movies, one focusing on LBJ, the other on Lady Bird. There a compact museum with a timeline of LBJ’s life and times, and placards on his many major achievements. There is a free tour of his boyhood home that is very interesting. There are also grounds to the west where you can walk a path around old farm buildings of his relatives. The onsite staff was very helpful. Admission is free, and we were not disappointed in anything we saw. 100% solid 5 star recommendation.

I stopped here on my way to Fredericksburg. I did not know much about LBJ when I arrived, but the staff were very friendly and explained his life and legacy to me. Everyone I met here seemed very enthusiastic about the history of Johnson City and the heritage of LBJ. I got a private tour of the boyhood home and explored the trail on foot. It was a great activity for a stop over.

I truly enjoyed the Johnson Nat'l Museum. My eyes were opened to the history of President Johnson and Lady Bird. Walking in their actual home and looking at the vast ranch acreage will always remain in my memory as I share the experience with others. I recommend anyone to visit the Johnson Museum and...
