On Friday 04-03-2020 I stopped by McDonalds at 417 E Market St Johnson City, TN. I feel very upset over this posting process. I would have preferred a private way of telling management there is a problem. However this is all I located. I went out on Fridaty to get a few items from the Fresh Market Grocery and with everyone being shut in I thought it would be nice to take a minute drive the other way home and get a flurry as a treat. I would say the time ways around 5:00 pm. I ordered a M&M Flurry and go easy on the M&M's please. 3.16$ and pulled up to the window. The boy giggled and said here is your flurry. I noticed the taste did not seem the same as I had remembered but it had been a bit since the last time I had one and continued to eat. Continuing to think that the taste seemed a bit off and the texture seemed a bit more liquified. Never thinking that there could be anything wrong. I have not been this sick in a long time. My intestines started up during the night. I spent better part of the early morning and the entire next day in the bathroom. Gut wrenchingly I had left all food early on and now just clear liquid and mucus. No one else in my household experienced this nor had anyone else other than myself eaten at McDonalds. Other that that one item we had all consumed the exact food. In these times with all of us together like this it really made this one item I had eaten really become a focus. I am not sure the boys did it on purpose or not. I am not sure that I have not damaged my body with some type of cleaner that they left in the machine. I certainly can not go into the doctors at this time with all the other issues. Super scary and thanks McDonalds for making my life even more difficult then it already is!!! It would not let me post till I gave at least 1 star, it did not...
Read moreI was a regular customer at this location for the last decade. I don't usually cook and this location is convenient. Some days I would go twice. On average I spent around $16 per day. I always ordered the same thing. Many of the employees and managers knew exactly what I ordered and the times of day I would be there. Everything was fairly good, except for the continual prices changes, for fast food until recently. I have always gotten 2 jelly packets with each biscuit in the mornings. I order 2 biscuits. That is a grand total of 4 small packets. Those jelly packets cost most restaurants less than $0.10 each. The policy changed recently that if I want a total of 4 jelly packets...the charge is $0.50 per packet after 3. So I would actually be paying the cost of 4+ jelly packets with this charge. I know that doesn't seem like a huge complaint but being charged extra for jelly is about the dumbest thing. I complained to the owner and I got a very short and irrelevant form letter in reply. It didn't even pertain to my complaint. Obviously I do not feel valued as a customer. I personally won't go back to this location until the policy has been changed. It is just on principal now. They just lost annual revenue of around $6000 over a $0.09 pack of jelly. (10/31/18 Update: The owner, Jim Davis, has made many changes at this location recently and I am personally thrilled. With a recent remodel and an open mind to constructive criticism... Mr. Davis has definitely stepped up his game. I have changed my rating from a 2 star to a 4. The only reason I am not giving a 5 star is because of food quality consistency between the different shifts. Overall... I am glad to be able to return my business to...
Read moreWhen we ate here our group consisted of four adults and one child. All of our our fries were old and soggy. Any time I have gotten food somewhere that I feel the quality isn't good or consistent with the other times I've eaten somewhere I almost never will actually bring the food back to get my order remade. Exspecially when it comes to fast food because I there are so many nit picky people constantly making issues for customer service employees and people are human orders are bound to get messed up from time to time. This is why we just continued to eat the soggy fries with no issues. Then when we began eating our cheeseburgers the meat had sat in their food warmer for way way too long to the point that it had literally no moisture left in it all. It was so ridiculously dry that even with the sandwich haveing condiments on it was still so dry after the first bite I had to take a sip of my drink because it was so hard to get down. I can understand making a mistake on an order. I can understand not getting fries perfectly hot that had just came right out of the oil. This cheeseburger and not just one cheeseburger but all four of our cheeseburgers being that dryed out to the point they were actually chewy has no excuses. You take one look at the meat on those cheeseburgers and there is no way whoever prepared those sandwiches didn't know that it was in the condition that it was in and all I can do is assume out straight pure laziness served it us anyways. Also I am getting really sick and tired of going to places that don't have a diaper changeing station at all like this mcdonalds and don't even get me started on the places that if they even do have one they only put it in the woman's...
