Okay, I love Lindt chocolate and have come here for holiday shopping and other occasions and easily will spend $100+ each time I visit. But this past March I stopped in with my mom and after entering, an older woman greeted us and asked if we would like a free sample. My mom received one flavor, but as soon as I heard the other flavor being Blueberry, I got excited and I knew I wanted one of those. So, I say I'll take a Blueberry and as I am reaching into the basket to take one, the woman swats my hand away and very sternly says that it's against "company policy" for me to take one myself. I'm first taken back by her physically swatting my hand away and it doesn't take long before I am fuming with anger and very offended and I tell my mom that we're leaving immediately. Then after leaving I start analyzing this "policy" of theirs and think that customers maybe should not take their own sample for unwrapped chocolates for sanitary conditions. But these were their individually wrapped truffles so to me that doesn't make sense. My mom actually called later that day to talk to a manager who sounded like a recorded message repeating that it's against "company policy" for a customer to help themselves to a sample and it must be physically handed to them from an employee. And as far as my hand getting swatted away, my mom said that the manager gave a very short and insincere apology about that. So, all I can say is that Lindt has lost a customer permanently and not just at their outlet store, but anywhere they sell Lindt, I will chose a competitor's brand which there are plenty to choose from with excellent quality. I just can not believe I had my hand swatted away. I felt like I was being treated like some misbehaved child with...
Read moreIf you're going here, be sure to bring cash. Their ability to process credit cards seems to be an issue often. Otherwise, it's a nice place to get gifts for people you know that love a variety of their truffles. You can pick any flavor variety that you like from a huge selection, and you're always offered a free truffle upon entering. Be sure you know which truffles are limited edition so you can stockpile those, as the selection does slightly change from time to time. They also have prepacked bags, candy bars, baking bars, the pricier selection of EU varieties in bulk, some other miscellaneous items, and I they also offer beverages. The prices are comparable to what you'd pay at Target or other retailers, if you just want a bag of, say, all milk chocokate truffles. If you want variety though, this store is a must. May their payment system work properly when you're there. Otherwise, you'll be leaving empty handed, or else you'll be giving a carbon of your card, if they allow that. Sometimes they do, sometimes it...
Read moreNormally I am quite happy here, I mean it's chocolate, right! But we took a long drive to get to Johnson Creek to buy specific chocolate and they were closed due to their website being down! OK it happens....today I call to place an order and the person tells me "I'm the only one here I won't be able to get to it" and then talks to someone there, maybe a customer but acts like I'm not even important!! I'm trying to do this with the store because the main website for ordering will only let me order a minimum of 260 of the Cappaccino Fiorettos for $222.00 and I do not want that many!! Why won't someone help me? I want to make a purchase!!...
