It's interesting the truth spin Luigi's has currently put on their website stating they are no longer delivering because "Postmates" is a problem. In truth I've done all but one of my orders as a pick up since this covid nightmare in March and consistently there was at least one or more issues with my food. Either it was missing some components or I was waiting in parking lot for 20 or more minutes past my pick up time. I totally understand sometimes things go sideways but how difficult is it to update the customer, to make sure order is doubled checked for accuracy or to take responsibility when it gets screwed up? I live literally 5 minutes away and have spent over 90 minutes sitting in the parking lot waiting on various orders which have only been 100% correct about 70% of the time. Something tells me postmates became a scapegoat for POOR planning and communications on the part of Luigi's STAFF. I'm currently siiting here 15 minutes past my pick-up time. If I had been alerted that there was delay I could have waited at home and not been writing this review. The one time I complained after waiting 50 minutes in parking lot for food I was given a $5 coupon. It was insulting really! Luigi's just get your sh** straight- I don't want a coupon, I want what I ordered mostly on time. For this current meal, I just got home and my order is missing the side of blue cheese and they put marinara on my pasta after I specifically chose Francaise sauce. C'mon, seriously!? It's very frustrating & disappointing. All that being said the food is usually pretty damn good, which is why we continue to be customers. TBH tho we order much less often due to trying to avoid the guesswork, waiting, and disappointment after dropping $70+ regularly on takeout. The food is great but expect delays and mistakes without...
Read moreHad my grandsons christening party here today. So we talked with an owner about the buffet menu and she wrote everything down that we wanted, plus two special dinners because of severe allergies. (Steak, baked potato & broccoli) Their order came out without the potatoes, they came out when they were finished eating after reminding waitress about no potatoes.
Ok, so we arrived at the restaurant at 2:30 and we didn’t start getting served a salad until 4:00. I had to remind the waitress that we were waiting to start dinner and people were hungry. They didn’t make enough of one of the main dishes so they had to make more which was completely different. The red sauce was very sweet, too sweet. They didn’t decide to start serving the cake until everything was cleared off table. Someone had to ask for coffee and no-one was offered another cup. One of the guests ordered a filet mignon and also ate from buffet. This was not brought to my attention until the bill was delivered so I had to pay for the steak dish that was ordered. Needless to say everyone was confused and the best part was when my sister was walking to the ladies room. Our waitress and the owner were talking about our party and they told her to MOVE ALONG?!?!?!? This is definitely not how a restaurant should be treating their customers, very unprofessional!!!! Hopefully this kind of service will not happen again, I highly doubt it. Needless to say I was not a happy customer and will not be returning If I could have given less than one start...

Disappointing! Our family planned a surprise 50th birthday party for my cousin at this establishment, which included a total of 11 guests. After two hours the manager rudely, in front of all our guests and the surrounding customers, asked us to hurry it along and be considerate to other walk-in customers waiting a for table. We had just been served our coffee and dessert at this point. In fact, a few of our guests were still waiting for their coffee. My family reserved this table a month in advance and our check total was substantial enough to justify our time there. When we approached the owner regarding this unprofessional behavior, she explained that they only allow parties, regardless of size, two hours to eat (unrealistic expectation for a large party to have a positive experience with that timeline). Had the manager/owner approached us privately in a more professional and respectful manner to discuss this situation with us it would not have resulted in a negative outcome. The food was delicious but overpriced based on their portions and other Italian restaurants in their category. However, the waitress was excellent. She was extremely accommodating and a pleasure to deal with. Unfortunately, we will not be returning to this establishment...
