City Tavern — Restaurant in Joliet

Granted, I went at 2:00 AM on a Saturday... I won't be rushing back. Took nearly 40 minutes to be served. When I called for the bartenders attention after being passed over countless times, he literally yelled OMFG. Spectacular customer service bud. The crowd was a mix of people who either look straight edge, or will offer you heroin in the bathroom. Some pop punk song came on and I've never seen so many people scream sing in unison before. Definitely not the crowd for me. DO NOT GO HERE if you have literally any other options. Also, went there to meet up with a friend and the whole time he's talking to some girl that looks like a potato. So...

Edit: we moved out of state and still can not find somewhere that makes us feel at home, we visited home and the tavern was one of the first places we visited 😊 Ashley is still the best!

It was an ok experience. They definetely were not prepared for a Friday dinner rush. There was only one bar tender & no servers for the tables. A second bar tender did arrive while we were there to help. They just advetstised now serving food & we thought we would give it a try.
