Linda's Pizza — Restaurant in Joliet

I have lived in Joliet since I moved from the South Chicago Suburbs back in 2010. I actually live about a block away from Linda's Pizza on Taylor street and it was the 4th pizza place I tried since moving here.

I have had a lot of different pizzas over my 48 years and various places across the country as well. I have to say that Linda's Pizza is the top pizza in the non-deep dish variety I have ever had!

That's saying a lot when you grow up near Chicago which is the home of the deep dish pizza. I have also had pizza on the east cost and the west cost which are both horrible compared to any good pizza place in good old I.L.

It's odd that in C.A. and all the way across to V.A. that no one can make a decent pizza. I have tried a bunch and they were all just horrible. It's as though once you leave the state of I.L. and NO ONE can make a good pizza.

Linda's is fantastic medium crust or thin crust pizza with a slightly sweet tomato sauce that's different but really good! The only negative I can state about Linda's is there weekend hours are too short and they lack the ability at the Taylor street carry out location to cook cheese sticks or fried mushrooms.

Other than that they rock and I have only had a few slightly burnt pizzas over the years and they will take care of you if you let them know about the burnt bottom that's very rare.

One final note: They also have fantastic beef sandwiches that are probably the best I have ever had which is a nice change of pace meal!

Keep up the great work Linda's your in a class by yourself with your excellent pizzas and beef sandwiches and friendly service that's second to none.

Seriously great tasting pizza that's one of the best in the thin or thick pizza crusts. They don't offer deep dish to my knowledge...

This is the first time I've orderedI pizza from Joliet. I've been here about 2 years and I only ordered it because my power was out since 8:00 this morning and service was fantastic on time like all that stuff but let me tell you ! If you want some help with that pizza I will come there and show you some pointers, your crust is okay but your sauce absolutely sucks !;your crust can use some work but I can give you some pointers for free if you want I'll take you somewhere or I'll show you some things that will put you over the top because I could make my 10 minute version pizza I call it I have many different pieces I make but my 10 minute version pizza is way better than your pizza and that's out of my stupid apartment of it unfortunately I'm not knocking you I'm just knowing I'm never going to order from there again but you have my expertise if you want some help to upgrade your pizzas just saying it needs some help because I don't know I was told by my neighbor downstairs that you guys were the best in Joliet but you weren't the best and while I really don't know that cuz I've never ate anything else because the other people told me Domino's or Pizza Hut and if people order from Domino's and Pizza Hut that's not pizza in Chicago!! i What the hell is going on in Joliet ?So I have to go go open up a Pizza...

A big thumbs down !! This place could make so much more $$$$ if the employees actually gave a hoot ! They obviously do not !! THE OWNER IS LOSING MONEY BECAUSE OF THESE CARELESS EMPLOYEES ! The owner needs to do an undercover boss tactic to weed out the ones that make them lose $$$ ! The phone is constantly busy. I suggested many times adding a 2nd line. What's closing time ? 10 pm on a Saturday. What's the last order time?? 930 pm. I walk in at 925. Ask to put an order in. I'M TOLD NO , WE'RE CLOSED. WE TOOK PUR LAST ORDER ALREADY. Btw , a pizza takes 15 minutes to cook. for walk ins or take outs you should be able to get a pizza still at 925.plenty of time to cook a pizza for a customer that's willing to wait even 35 minutes. I asked " what times closing." 10 I get back What's last order time. 930 I get. What time is it. I get 925. Will they honor their own policies ? No !! DID I GET MY PIZZA ! NO !!!
