6/20/2020 we came to the 32nd street Dairy Queen. A couple came out and the door shut. I pulled on the door and it was locked. I read the door sign and there were no additional COVID hour listed. The windows are tinted so you can only see shadows from the outside but I could tell someone was on the other side of the door. There were three people standing behind me trying to get in. A guy opened the door and said the dining room is open for carry out only for the next 30 minutes. We all said fine and walked in. A blonde hair women came from the back and asked the young guy in a very angry tone, “STOP letting people in?” The kid said I thought they still order just not sit in here. The angry blonde women looked at the the three of us and sternly said “THE LOBBY IS CLOSED” while making a hand motion for us to get out of the store. I do not know who made this woman mad before she got to the front but the way she talked to her employee was not professional nor was the way she spoke and sent us out of the store. Read moreWent to this place today and they misunderstood our order! We ordered 2 small cheeseburgers and at the window and they handed up 2 blizzards. Would NOT let us get the order corrected! Kept insisting “that” was what we ordered! Ok, so my 96 yo friend went ahead and re-ordered 2 cheeseburgers again! We won’t be going back to this DQ ever again as if this is how the make their $, then SHAME ON THEM!!! Almost all places want to satisfy their customers, but NOT THIS DQ ON 32nd street in Joplin!!! He most certainly acted like it was coming out of his pocket! By the way, this happened during the lunch rush and we also wandered WHY THEY WERE “NOT BUSY AT ALL”! He also said they could make the cheeseburgers again, and have to wait a few minutes—THE WORST part of all was that he turned around, grabbed a bag and handed it to us immediately! Read moreOrdered 4, 6 piece chicken strip baskets. When we went to pay, I thought the price was lower than it should have been, but thought I just miss figured. Got our food, no receipt, drove around to the other side if the building to eat. Discovered that we only had 4 pieces of chicken in each order. Went back through drive through, explained that we needed more chicken. Was told by the manager, I believe her name was Ivy, that we paid for 4 piece &we would have to pay for more strips. I told her that it wasn't my fault lt that the order was taken wrong & that I would not be paying for more strips. After going back & forth with her for several minutes, I ended up having to drive off without my full order. Definitely will not be going...
