Shake's Frozen Custard — Restaurant in Joplin

My husband just went to the Joplin, MO store. He experienced something that no customer should have to experience. There was 3 people working. Two young white girls, & a black man. Apparently one of the girls & the man was arguing in front of my husband about their personal business calling each other names. The girl was crying while making our ice cream. When he approached my husband to get his orders he said “If you want your order messed up just ask her”. From what I was told by my husband, they were dating & he cheated on her. I’m not the one to care about anyone’s personal business, but I’m very disappointed. I’d like to speak to a manager as soon as possible.

(I’d like to add, we go here VERY often to get ice cream. We’ve never experienced something like this...

I buy this pecan blueberry marshmallow sundae and didn't like it. It had way too much marshmallow and was just too sweet. Brought it back and asked if I could just have them switch it out for a plai n small ice cream. After a long pause, kid goes... you know I'm not supposed to give free Ice-cream but okay just this one time. Then after a discussion about how it's really not giving me free ice cream, yhen he gets it and while giving it to me says... don't worry, I'm not gonna get mad and throw ice cream at you or anything like that. WHY would he feel the need to say that????? Maybe I should've just asked for my money back in the first place? I couldn't even enjot the replacement. Never going...

I think at 40 years old, and my love of icecream, I have tried them ALL! I have lives in Joplin for years and years and drive by Shakes all the time! Never stopped??!! Idk why!!?? Because THAT was literally the BEST FROZEN CUSTARD/icecream I’ve EVER HAD! So I’ll be stopping more! The reason I did stop was because I got sent a free small concrete for my bday present 🥰 their portion and prices are also fabulous! I mean wow a small is 14 oz(same as a pint of icecream almost!) 🍦🍨Try their concrete with Reese’s with cheesecake pieces (I also added caramel but chocolate fudge or neither would be good also) 👍🏽 Shakes! And their sweet employee made the experience that much...
