Seong's Sushi Bar — Restaurant in Juneau

Its not a bad place to eat compared to the other asian orientated restaurants in Juneau. HOWEVER, you MUST be VERY SPECIFIC with your orders due to the fact there are many of the same recipes with different names, ESPECIALLY with the sushi menu AND Lunch "specials" where YOU MUST SAY its for lunch special you want, otherwise you'll be charged the more expensive version of the meals. They do wonders with their quality meat and amazing combination of flavors that don't ruin the rest the meal and they DO serve plenty of meat in the meals... if you decide on the SPECIFIC meal that has it. Most the time the 'different' meals are based on how much ingredients they add and just on how you pronounce the name (in english or in its native tongue) which will end up with a 20 dollar difference in paying per patron. Which if it comes to delivery, Little Tokyo with Asiana Gardens as back up, take out Seongs for the on the go local here in Juneau. LASTLY, THEY DO NOT DELIVER AND THEY WILL ONLY REMEMBER YOU IF YOU SKIP OUT ON A PICK UP and not a month straight up picking up the same 7 dollar meal with 5 dollar soda charged AND a 5 dollar tip. Good food, expedient service, first 5 minutes is friendly. Most you can ask for in a Tourism town...

My favorite restaurant in town. Staff are absolutely top notch and we love them. Attentive, friendly and quick service. We also travel a lot and you would think the bigger coastal cities would have good sushi, but nope, nothing is as good as Seongs. I’ve been getting the Futomaki for 20 years and it’s hands-down the best vegetarian sushi I’ve ever had (the smoked tofu bit sets it apart from everywhere else!). My only wish is that they were open on Sundays in the summer because I find myself craving their delicious food every day of the week and on a sunny Sunday in the summer, Seongs would be on the top of the list (not a bad thing, just love it that much). If you’re on the fence about where to get sushi in Juneau, there’s no comparison. Just put in an order and let your tastebuds be the judge. You won’t be disappointed. Our family loves eating here -- the service and the food are great. It is especially convenient for take-out. Now and then I call on a Friday night as I'm leaving work, and pick up dinner for 4 on the way home. It's a great solution at those times when you don't feel like going out and you're too worn out to cook dinner. We all have our favorite menu items -- some of us like sushi and others like the stir-fry dishes. An added bonus is that we always have plenty of food left over for lunch...
