The museum has some interesting information about the WWII era and Aleut internment relocation camps, as well as a video and some other exhibits discussing little known facts about local history. However, artifact wise, there isn't much here, except in the indigenous exhibit, which won't seem as impressive after seeing the exhibits in the state museum. Our guide Joel was very knowledgeable about the city's history regarding mining, fishing, timbering, architecture, politics, and citizens, including one notable Robert Straud. She gave us so much information on the people, history, culture, etc. We were able to ask a variety of questions and she answered all of them.
