As a pizza connoisseur and a former New Yorker, I had to try this place after seeing it on Barstool sports. Before going, I read many of the reviews and knew ahead of time that I couldn’t place a phone order, they don’t sell slices, and it would take a bit of time. That being said, I got there pretty close to when they opened at 1pm. The person taking my order was not pleasant and nor was the guy making the pizzas, but again I knew this going in after having read the reviews. There is no menu posted nor are prices listed. The person taking my order asked me if I was paying cash or card and I gave him my credit card. No receipt provided. I was a little shocked when I checked my credit card app that my order for 2 pizzas came to $44. I had ordered a plain cheese pizza and another pizza with garlic and onion. Fortunately my wait was not more than 10 minutes. The pizza is a “New York” style in that it is a thin crust like New York. That is about the only compatibility with New York because the crust is still not a New York crust and for those that know, it’s the water in New York that makes the difference. The pizza did taste good and was one of the better pizzas I’ve had. They provide a side of their garlic pesto on the side sort of like Papa Johns, but theirs is much better. I gave them a try and would rate the pizza a 7/10. I live an hour away and was in the area, but this is not something I would go out...
Read moreThis was a great experience! I was in Florida on business and was able to make it to the Juno Pier on Thursday. After walking the beach for awhile I decided to grab dinner. Willies pizza came up as NY style pizza. I called, placed the order and they stated 20 minutes. The place was difficult to find as it is inside a Shell gas station. Very unique. I ordered my pizza extra crispy. When I got there Willie asked me what I was there to pick up. I said a large cheese pie. He said, “extra crispy?” And then placed the pizza back in the oven for another minute or so. When boxing it up he asked if I wanted Parmesan and garlic on the pizza. I went just Parmesan. Total cost was $13. This pie beats most pies where I am in Pennsylvania. I can’t give it 5 stars as it was really good but 5 stars is perfect. I would give it 4.4 stars. Willie - great pie and attention to detail. Thank you.
Just went back to Willie’s (again) and he is still a great guy, wonderful character and made me a special slice with the banana peppers, Gorgonzola cheese and his garlic sauce! That was fantastic!!! Superb service and fun to chat with. Like others, he opened the curtain and let me behind...
Read moreWho would of known there was an awesome pizza shop inside the shell gas station. The pizza was delicious. We had alot of fun with willy the owner. Reminiscing about how many years he's been a chef and owning his own pizza shop in New York. We are also pizza makers, bakery and ice cream makers in the summer season on Block Island. We had alot in common. Willy is a very proud man being in the food industry for almost 50 years. Loves what he does. I can't stress enough about the beautiful salads they put together also with all a choice of blue cheese or feta cheese, kalamata olives, red onion, tomato, banana peppers, artichoke, and a few red peppers. The dressing is delicious!!! Home made by Willy. We are so glad we found out about this gas station pizza in Jensen Beach. It's refreshing to find someone in florida that LOVES what he does and loves to make people happy one pizza at a time. When you're there waiting for you're pizza willy makes you feel like family . We will certainly be back!!!! . Open for lunch and dinner . The menu prices you see on the website have changed a little, but no big deal....
