Read moreI went there on the 9th of August 2022 around 5-5:30, I know its rude to be on your phone in a restaurant, but I was. I had to take a call and the music was so loud I could not hear. I had to go outside and around the corner to hear (outside was loud also). That's not all. If you like Chipotle you may like this place, but this is not really a Mexican restaurant if that is what you are looking for. Yes they put ingredients in taco shells and soft tortillas and they put spices associated with Mexican cuisine but it is not cooked proper. I spent $60.00 and a tip for two fountain drinks and two "tacos" and two "burritos" with tiny sides. It seems like this is a bad spin on Chipotle. Yes they have all kinds of tequila and sombreros on the wall but the food (they put parmesan cheese on refried beans) is far from anything like a real taco or burrito that you would get from a restaurant down the road not in Abacoa. Bottom line is if you are craving Mexican don't go there, if you are looking for a trendy spot to drink tequila and listen to loud music by all means this is your spot. Oh yeah the chips they give to you have a tasty spice mixture on them but the "salsa" is less desirable. Hope this helps everyone. Have...
Read moreThe good: excited to have a good taco place in abacoa (dukes was so disappointing). The menu is solid with lots to choose from
The bad: service was slow, the avocados in some of the dishes were not ripe. I was surprised at how high the bill was at the end, but once I reviewed the check it made sense.
Overall: I was really pleased with the tacos. They were some of the best I’ve ever had. I got the lettuce wraps instead of tortillas and I have to say they’re the best lettuce wraps I’ve gotten with tacos so far. Try the mojo chicken taco, the birraqueso and the churrasco taco. Wifey got the corn tortillas and was really happy. She’s a “mahi snob” often accusing restaurants of labeling other fish mahi or using frozen mahi and she really liked their mahi taco. We got an avocado (BLTA) appetizer and it was fantastic, but the avocado wasn’t ripe enough, the chips and guacamole were good with homemade chips. Solid tequila selection. Wifey had 2 margaritas and really liked them. I went last night and honestly was thinking about going back again tonight. Hope this place lasts and they iron out the kinks cause the food...
