The experience started off bad when I called to see how long the wait would be before we arrived and the hostess said "2 to 2 and a half hours" I was shocked and considered not going to the restaurant at all. The other part of my party was close by and they went into the restaurant to see if we could sit outside. The restaurant was empty and there tons of tables available. When someone in my party asked the hostess why she had told me that the wait was 2 plus hours she said that "they say that to everyone that calls". The service was probably the worst service I have ever received. The waiter never asked us if we needed anything. He would just come if we had something come up. Drinks took 20-30 min to receive and we were there for 2 hours before we were even able to put in a food order. At first we didn't mind because we were in a group and talking but after a while we got annoyed and we actually had to get up and call the waiter over to us so we could order food, more drinks, etc. because he didn't even show an interest in coming to our table at all. Then when the food did finally come, they brought out 2 plates about 10 min before they brought out the rest. When I asked about the drinks we ordered, one of the busboys said "It would come out eventually". We actually ended up having to clear our own table because no one ever came to clear empty cups or plates. Then at the end of the meal when we got our checks, they had automatically added in the 18% tip. Now we realized why they were completely ignoring us, the tip was already a given! But I complained to the owner, who wasn't concerned at all about our unhappiness and didn't offer any apology at all. She said they would take the automatic tip off but she was annoyed and told me to wait for my server to come back to the table. That took another 10-15 min because the owner could care less about the service or the way her customers are treated. The food was fine, nothing special. Don't waste your time going to this restaurant as you'll likely have to wait half an hour before even...
Read moreHorrible Mother’s Day experience! My family has been at your place before but it was my first time and my last !! Before my arrival my family stated that they had been waiting for a server. Upon my arrival I heard an employee tell my moms husband they didn’t have anymore Corona only Corona Premier and I believe Presidente. So after I would say about 30-45 minutes or so someone finally decided to take our order. So then our waiter Carlos (very kind patient guy) came inform us they had no fries. Not even 5 minutes he comes back and says they’re out of Macitas de puerco, then it was Churrasco, and i don’t know what else there was so much food that they didn’t have. So as the food starts to come out I hear them say they have no plantains. Like what kind of restaurant operates like that on such a busy day. My aunt had to go complain to the manager who I say NEVER came to our table and apologize not once !! Poor waiter was embarrassed of the amount of times he had to tell us they were out of certain foods. After all this my husband, my kids and myself were still waiting on our drinks that we ordered 30-45 minutes ago. Horrible. When my daughter received her plate she had a hair on her plate AND HER BURGER !! Honestly I was disappointed I just removed the freaking hair because I had no more patients for this place!! I ordered a steak sandwich which comes with tomato, lettuce, onion and potato sticks… only thing I didn’t ask for was onions my sandwich had ZERO lettuce bland and hell.. Carlos was just a gentlemen never lost his cool ALWAYS smiling !! All they gave us was coffee on the house like c’mon. Either the restaurant needs a new management or they need some REAL GOOD TRAINING !! Unbelievable never again will I be...
Read moreI’ve eaten here several times and have ordered take out many times. Today will be the last and final straw for me with this sorry and racist example of Cuban style cuisine. I called earlier today to place a reservation for 6. I was informed that they did not take reservations for parties that small (which they have before for me with both large and small parties) and was told that they could possibly fit us in when we arrived. So we all show up hoping to possible get a seat inside since it was raining sideways. I walked in and saw reserved signs on every table from a 2 all the way up to approx 4 tables pushed together in the back. I talked to the host and was asked if I had a reservation. I replied to her no and repeated that I was told that they did not take reservations and the only seating available was outside. I told them that will not do since it’s pouring raining and that this is now the second time this has happened but alas they was nothing they could do. The really sad part is I do speak Spanish and have had other instances where I called in in English and couldn’t get a table but called back in Spanish and had no problem getting a reservation. This is classic favoritism toward certain clientele and as a local and native to this area I find incediably insulting and wrong. If I can help anyone by not letting them make the mistake that myself and my family have made by patronizing this business I will feel better about all of this. I guess I will have to get my fix of Cuban food by going to Don Ramon’s in west palm beach or by having my grandmothers actual home cooked...
