101 Club (Arizona Hard Tea)
This review only reflects my experience in the 101 club at Roger Dean Stadium. My previous experiences over the years have been much better. I couldn’t find a way to provide feedback directly to the venue, so I decided to post this to google for the benefit of others. I purchased 3 seats in the “101 Club” for $77 each and after fees came to $85.35 a piece ($256). These were “all you can eat seats” excluding alcoholic beverages. Also it seemed like you would be close to the bullpen and maybe have a chance to get autographs. Not a chance since the bullpen was in the outfield in a closed section. I was excited to get to the ballpark early to start eating before the game started. About 30 minutes before the game started we made our way to the “all you can eat” seats and were told that the food wasn’t ready yet. This was a disappointment, so we went and grabbed 3 beers for $42 plus tip while we waited. We went back to our seats before the 1st inning started and were told we had to order with a QR code from our seats and they would bring the food to us. The only food they had available at the top of the section was nachos and popcorn. Non-alcoholic drinks were on ice in a big tub as well. We ordered from our phones after having to setup an account and put in a credit card number. You could not order any other way. Finally after 15-20 mins our food was delivered in a brown paper bag. We ordered the cheeseburger and chicken tenders. The cheeseburger was absolutely AWFUL. It was ice cold with only a slice of white cheese on it. I’ve had better food at a gas station. The tenders at least had a slight residual warmth to them, but I’m not sure a child would have even eaten them. They were terrible also. The only other options available were a bratwurst and an Italian sausage. I figured I would try the bratwurst a few innings later. After ordering this they delivered another 2 burgers to me instead and no bratwurst. My friend actually got a bratwurst and said it was Ok. Nothing on it at all just plain.
BE AWARE, the food AND all drinks are removed promptly during the 7th inning, so if you want to stay hydrated and not pay $5 for a water make sure you stock up before the 7th inning.
This was overall the worst baseball experience I’ve ever had, especially considering the price. I’ve paid less at major league stadiums and got a much better value with food that was actually edible.
I DO NOT recommend the club 101 seats. You will be HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED as we were. Please choose another section in the ballpark. I wouldn’t sit here again even if...
Read moreFirst of all, I'm a die hard Cards fan and this was my first visit to Roger Dean Stadium, Go Cards! And a BIG thank you to Rick Horton and Dan McLaughlin for being so gracious for pictures.
This review was greatly affected by watching the Cardinals the night before at FITTEAM park. It's obvious that Roger Dean is a park in need of an redo. Amenities that I sincerely missed compared to FITTEAM:
No overhang for wheelchair section. Often, people in these sections can't handle the heat of the sun as well as others, my wife included. We had to take breaks into standing room where we could find a little shade. Most concessions, other than "beer man" require you to leave the view of the game. FITTEAM has this perfect, you never have to miss a play just to grab food or drink. Parking is not as easy to find. Lots of signs, but I still had trouble finding wheelchair section that was close to the stadium (actually in the parking garage but not correctly noted on the signs)
My suggestion is either go to a night game at Roger Dean if heat will be an issue or just watch the Cards when they play either the Nationals in the Astros at FITTEAM. You may even have a better opportunity for the players to sign autographs as was...
Read moreDuring Spring Training, the Miami Marlins and St. Louis Cardinals play here. When other MLB teams are practicing or playing scrim games here, you can expect teams like the Mets, Braves, Red Sox, and more to play at this field with the Marlins and Cardinals.
The stadium is very High School friendly, probably because Florida Atlantic University (FAU) owns the land. High School's play at this field on random occasions, which is neat because it makes them want to play baseball more and puts their dream or future career to play more so they can play at these type of stadiums.
Parking is free(*), you can either park in the parking garage which is located across the street of the main entrance of the stadium, or IF you get lucky (or get to the park early) you can park on the street right by the stadium.
Depending on the game, sometimes it might be free or they might charge $6 - $10 dollars (cash only) to park.
I can't comment on the concession stands because we normally don't eat here due to the prices. But you can expect normal baseball food/drinks like nachos, burgers, hotdogs, ice cream, soda (Pepsi brand) and beer.
Overall it's a great field to see games, spring training or even scim games against...
