QDOBA Mexican Eats — Restaurant in Kalamazoo

I visited Qdoba's at the corner of Stadium Drive and Drake Road, in Kalamazoo, Michigan about 9 p.m. on September 6, 2020.

When I entered the restaurant there were four employees, 2 sitting in a corner eating, one mopping in the serving area, and a 4th one who walked over to serve me food.

The 2 eating obviously did not have on mask, but the 2 in the food serving area wore a mask ONLY covering their mouths, but their Nostrils were UNCOVERED!!!

I asked the man who adjusted his gloves preparing to serve me if he had plans to serve food to me with his nose uncovered, and he said " ah yea?".

I said, "I work in the medical industry, and did you know that your nose unmasked could potentially be just as dangerous as serving food without any mask at all; both mouth and nose should be covered".

He didn't say anything, nor did the gentleman behind him mopping the floor (with a mask only covering his mouth).

Most food establishments knows and have trained their employees how to handle food and prepare their hands, face, and serving stations, especially during this Covid pandemic. They know that anyone serving food should wear a mask completely covering both their nose and mouths. And I personally will NOT financially support any business who does not consider the safety of their customers. Failing to remember that it is their customers sales that help pay employees salaries.

Horrible experience. At 12:08 PM on 6/3/2017 we placed an order for pickup at 12:45 PM. We arrived at 12:45 and were told that our food hadn't been started yet, but they'd start it right away. At 1:05 PM I asked for an update and was told that the manager needed to talk to me, but she was busy. They refused to speak to me again after that. I tried waiting in line and was told that I had to wait for the manager. I finally interrupted the manager (at 1:16 PM) and asked for a refund. She said "You're fine." and went back to what she was doing. I asked again for help and she roller her eyes, laughed, and walked away. This whole time our food wasn't even started. At 1:25 we left, no food no refund. Qdoba hasn't responded to our complaints, and doesn't have any way of contacting them available. As we left three other customers left with us after seeing what was going on. Never go to this store. The people who work there are the worst. I'll also never use their app again since there's no way to get a refund.

Just as a side note, there was also a catering order in there that was having issues. Their order was incorrect, they had waited longer than us, and then the price they were being charged was different than promised during the order. The manager also walked away from them and left them hanging. While we were waiting their line cycled at least 3 times, so there was plenty of opportunity to...

This place is one of the worst fast food restaurants in the area. They constantly get my order wrong.

They're somehow often out of ingredients 4 hours before closing (how are you out of black beans at 7pm on a weekday?)

The service is God awful. If you order on the app, it is rarely on time. Even if it is, it will be sitting on the counter behind them just needing to be bagged for literally 10 minutes. This happened even when they asked who the order was for, so they knew I was there. I would have said something, but I thought "no way they have it just sitting there when they know I'm here. That can't be my order, right?".

Today, I show up within the time the app told me. They hadn't even started working on my order, but it wasn't a big deal so I just sat and waited. The woman out front said loudly, multiple times "he's already here for his bowl". Already? Again, I was within the time the app told me. Then 3 other people come out of the back while they just leave my finished bowl sitting on the counter. Bear in mind, there were a whole two customers in the restaurant when I got there, so it isn't like they were slammed.

From now on, I'm just going to go to the other side of town just to avoid this place. The food is often times not what I ordered, the chicken is always burnt, and the service is worse than any McDonalds or Taco Bell I...
