Think of the perfect pizza. What does it look like? What does it taste like? It probably has lots of cheese, greasy as all get-out, and tastes amazing. Well that's what Roma's is to me. Sure other places may be cheaper, or have some gimmick to them with things like cheese stuffed in places it normally isn't. Roma's is just amazing tasting pizza. There are times I think to myself that I want pizza, but I want PIZZA and not something with cheap ingredients that's been sitting under a heat lamp for 15 minutes. That's when I know I have to go to Roma's.
While everything about the pizza itself is amazing, my only annoyance is with the location. It sits on busy Drake Road, and making a left into the lot is difficult, but making a left out of the location can sometimes be impossible. It also shares the lot with another restaurant so sometimes it gets difficult to even park to pick up your pizza. Also if you're thinking about dining in.....don't. I think there's maybe one small table that can sit 2 people, and many times people are waiting in that area so it would be difficult to eat there. I would suggest just picking up your pizza, and make a right into/out of the location to avoid traffic.
When ordering pizza from there it's usually ready on time, and has always been accurate. I think only once I had to wait an extra 5 minutes, but I also had ordered roughly 5 pizzas and bread as well for that order.
So if you're looking for pizza that you want to taste amazing and impress your friends and relatives, be sure to order Roma's. You...
Read moreWOOOOOOWWWWW! DISAPPOINTED I am a huge Romas fan. I regularly support the business. When I received lasagna tonight( my regular order) and there was unmelted cheese, a watery substance sitting on top of everything and the lasagna had not even set, I called to ask what we could do. As I am ill I ordered door dash. Before offering any remedy for the issue Romas was responsible for, they gleefully replied, "Just call Doordash." I then asked how this was an issue for them to resolve as the food wasn't cooked properly and that is a concern that you all should feel responsible for addressing-no? After spending nearly $40, requesting we find a solution( I didn't even ask for a refund, I was genuinely very hungry and looking for a compromise)I was rudely addressed by the staff member on the phone. Ultimately, what left me floored, is there was no apology for the inconvenience or mistake on their behalf-just passed the buck to door dash.... Customer service is lacking for sure. I called to find a solution, I don't ever ask for refunds. It was...
Read moreI've lived in the Kalamazoo area for more than 35 years and had never tried this place. Don't even know if they've been around that long. I wish I had stopped sooner. It was wonderful.
We got two nontraditional pizzas; the BBQ Chicken and the Philly Cheese Steak pizza. Both were very good with lots of topping and the crust on both were wonderfully hand-tossed. The BBQ Chicken uses Sweet Baby Ray's bbq sauce, so if you like the, you'll love this.
But the big surprise was the Philly Cheese Steak pizza. Nacho cheese sauce instead of traditional sauce sounds weird, but it really works. In fact, we liked it so much, we got it two days in a row. For me, that's saying something. Their website says it comes with a side of sour cream. But if you don't ask for it, you probably won't get it. We liked more with the sour cream, but that's entirely subjective. If you're looking for something a little different, give it a...
