I never write bad reviews but I’m just astounded by how what was supposed to be a quick starbucks run turned into an hour ordeal with very little resolution to my experience.
Drive thru was busy, which is fine they have no control over that. But they got my order wrong (again, I am seriously ok with this, they were busy), however the reaction the barista gave me when I asked for it to be corrected made me feel like I was doing something wrong. I asked for drink carriers, they didn’t have any and she seemed upset for me asking.
They corrected my drink in literally 2 minutes which was surprisingly fast. After waiting in the drive thru for 35 minutes the drink was so terrible and I never treat myself to Starbucks so I was disappointed. I was just going to move on but Went halfway home to find out my card was still at Starbucks so I called and they said “yes we have it, you can just go in the drive thru again”. I said absolutely not.. can’t afford to wait that long again so they said they would bring it out and remake my drink for a third time. The girl on the phone was nice but when they brought it out, again, wrong size.
I didn’t freak out on anyone. I wasn’t a “Karen”. I get that it can be busy but I rarely spend my money on these things and when something like this happens and things are consistently wrong, I just can’t see myself ever going back even though it was probably...
Read moreBy far, the worst Starbucks I have been to in the Northland KC area. Twice I have tried ordering online in advance and picking up my order in store. There will not be a third attempt. Both times, even though I arrived 10+ minutes after the due time, neither order was ready (not large orders; 2-3 items). What made this worst, is both times the staff in the store totally ignored me. I would wave, and try to get the attention of somebody, but the staff does that thing where they deliberately try to avoid eye contact, they will look every which way except at you. Eventually, you are able to make eye contact with somebody, and indicate that there is an issue. I ordered online, in advance. It should be ready...what's up? Both times I got the same response. "Oh, your order isn't ready and we'll have it to you as soon as we can." Well, that's awesome, Thank You for telling me nothing. Any idea how long it might be? Do I have time to use the restroom? Do I have time to run home and walk the dog and come back?
Even though I live closest to this Starbucks, I will take the hint from the staff that is there and just go to a different one. The one up north on 169 does a great job, as does the one just east of Zona Rosa, so it isn't that much of an issue for me to continue to enjoy Starbucks and just not have to deal with whatever issues this staff...
Read moreI have given this location several chances and each time is worse than the time before. Slow service and rude people. While a couple baristas there are friendly, it’s only a couple.
My last visit there was to pick up a mobile order- 4 drinks. Yes, the line was long. Oh well, that happens sometimes. I was greeted at the loudspeaker by a woman who asked me to repeat my name 4 times. Annoying, but fine. When I got up to the window, she waited for me to pay. I then told her I had a mobile order (already paid for). She closed the window without saying a word and came back with 1 of my drinks. When I asked her about the other drinks, she rudely sighed and asked me what else I had. I then acknowledged her attitude, to which she said, “We received 10 mobile orders at one time.” I can sympathize with a rush... rushes can be stressful. But as the customer, I do not deserve rude treatment.
Because of this most recent experience, I refuse to go there. I will go out of my way to Barry Road or N McGee, simply because they are efficient and most of...
