Well lets start off from the beginning. 45 mins in the drive thru. We had two separate orders. When we got to the window finally, they gave us one order. So we wait ... thinking ok any minute now the other one.... we wait it was about 8 mins. The person came to the window and asked why was we still here and I said our other order. She said other order..... looked around a min and then figured it out. Then two other people walk in with problems with their order. Signs are every where by now. So She came back to the window and looked at us .... didnt say anything, so we asked her whats up. She said I need your card? I said How about the price first, cus if you said that will be 45.00 bucks I could say ... YOOO that's not my order. So we get home and I guess I should have checked my food cus I got half of what I ordered and it was not cooked completely. From looking over other reviews we can see a routine starting. Mark my words if this isnt taking care of soon.... the building will be like others that housed Captain Ds ... empty. I used to manage a restaurant and I can see the signs. I would hate to lose another Big Daddy Ds, its nice to have alternatives, But I know Long Silvers will be there cause they care and cus they rock. I can help the owners turn this around if they want. I do consulting and I can put in place the necessary steps to correct this. Its easier for me to do it then the owners. Because I have the chonies to tell people you do it right or I find the staff who will. Look if a restaurant doesn't have in place rules and regs right up front .... then whats happening in the back of the house? You tell me.... let your mind wonder on that. Fish is very delicate, thats all I can say. I hope they take steps to clear this up, but then again who am I .... just an old painter, who used to run a killer...
Read moreOn May 19, 2020. I went to Captain D’s on State Avenue in Kansas City Kansas. And around 9:15 PM. I sit in the line for about 10 minutes waiting for my food to be done. I expected for it to be fresh. I didn’t check it until I got home. I went back to see if my order can be remade because my fish was soggy and my fries were soggy as well. I ended up calling the facility to see if my order can be made and another manager from a different facility answered and said this is in my store. Which by the way she was very rude to me so she ended up going to get the manager of the store and as I’m still on the phone the manager asked who it was she said girl some customer and so as I was trying to explain to her about my order she was very much rude to me which she stayed it was that she don’t have time to deal with me tonight she’s not remaking my order and I was very professional and polite with her but she ended up hanging up in my face. I was already in the drive-through in the store was closed yet. So I expected for my food to be remade after I spent my hard our money to receive something fresh so she ended up turning off the lights and not coming to the window. I am very upset because I expect managers to be professional. That is not how someone in that position should treat a customer. Read moreI ordered a Uber delivery and spent a very nice amount of money for one person . Usually captain ds is good in other areas but this fish tastes very dirty like it wasn’t cleaned. The crab inside the crab shells I didn’t take one bite of it looks burnt inside. The only thing I could eat was the coke slaw. The fried oysters were mushy. I spit the fish out as soon as I took the first bite. That’s so disrespectful not to put your passion in your customers food. My order was 36.12 there’s a 40 percent off promotion this week so if that 40 percent wasn’t on there my order would have been so much more. You should care about how you give people their food. Being born and raised in Alaska trust me I know when fish has not been cleaned. Yuck. You had just opened. There’s no excuse for this.
