If you are comparing these to Chips Ahoy or even store deli cookies, you probably think these are 5-star cookies, even at $4 per cookie.
This is crazy. I can make an entire batch of cookies at home for about that price. If you can't, you should learn to follow directions so that you can bake your own that are better than these.
We ordered a 6-pack and despite having 5 different flavors, every cookie basically tasted like spoonfuls of sugar with hints of peanut butter being shoved down my throat - every one except for the double-chocolate one, which just tasted like cheap chocolate. The texture of the cookie felt as though the cookies were underbaked, with a mushy feeling at the core.
I grew up with a Mrs. Fields store nearby, and those cookies were many orders of magnitude better than these. I'm simply stunned at how high the reviews are for these cookies, but it's clearly from people who (a) have boatloads of money to spend on cookies and/or (b) can't/won't make cookies at home....
Read moreThese cookies are not here to play. They are GIGANTIC! Cookies are served warm or chilled, depending on the week, and packaged before your eyes so you can see your sweets before departing. Two iPads are set up for self-service ordering, but the staff is always open to helping explain the process. Everything is clean, and the store smells delicious upon entering. Also, the pink decor and packaging just speaks to my Millennial soul.
Do yourself a favor and download the Crumbl app. Each week, Crumbl changes their menu, so the app is a game changer! The app features dietary information, Crumbl rewards, and a journal so you can keep track of what cookies you've tried (plus your own rating of it!) Some other features include joining the subscription plan that gives you a 10% discount each week, plus arrange for cookies to be shipped to your home through food delivery services.
Crumbl also does catering, which is great! These cookies make the perfect gift for teachers, companies,...
Read moreI want to apologize upfront for being a Grinch, but... I really wanted to love Crumbl and give them 5 stars. But here's my honest opinion: The cookies are not the best I've had and are not worth $4 a piece. I just about had a heart attack when I ordered two chocolate chip cookies and it came to $8!! For that kind of dough they better be some freakin' incredible, mind-blowing cookies. Sadly, Crumbl's cookies were kind of ho-hum and flavorless. (I can bake better chocolate chip cookies at home for a fraction of the cost.) The cookies also had a weird cakey texture that I thought was annoying. (Maybe they were under baked?) I tried Crumbl once but I don't see myself going out of my way to be a regular customer. I can easily live without their high-priced cookies. My issue with Crumbl is price versus quality. I do wish them the best of luck and I hope they succeed and stay in business just to...
