After my experience tonight I can fully understand why there are so many one star reviews here. Every year I do some Christmas shopping here, and always buy a box of Moose Munch for each of my daughters stockings. This year I bought two boxes, just like I do every year and also got a box of salted caramels for each of them, along with some candle, a little coat for my dog, a set of three dog toys, a candle, and a stainless steel steamer pan. This is the only Christmas shopping I did in the store; everything purchased in one visit, so all of these items were on one receipt. One of my daughters is wanting to avoid junk food, so she didn't want the Moose Munch or the salted caramels. I didn't want them around tempting me, so tonight I stopped in the store with the receipt to return them. The cashier stated that only one of the items showed up on the receipt, but not the other. I purchased them at the same time, just like I do every year, so there was absolutely no reason why both of them shouldn't have shown up on the receipt. There was even a TJMaxx sticker on the item. The fact that it didn't show up on the receipt was their error. The girl refused to give me a refund and said the best she could do was give me a store credit. I can no longer trust this store, and honestly, I should have stopped shopping here a number of years ago when they had the data breach and put me and all their other customers at risk of identity theft. Extremely poor customer service.... After I use the store credit they issued me tonight, I'm done...
Read moreI’ve been coming to this location for years and spend thousands because I have always appreciated the selection and have had all good experiences with staff... until yesterday when I walked out of the store and chose to take my business elsewhere. The male manager stood in the center of the store and stared down my 12 year old son as he was picking out a new hoodie, my 15 year old daughter who had bought a new phone case with her birthday money and myself as I was shopping for supplies for my new puppy. I also noticed a younger female employee began following me throughout the store, I went to random areas to see if I was being paranoid and she blatantly stared and followed us to EVERY single area. I approached the manager at this point and asked if there was a problem or reason we were being stared down and followed and he was rude and defensive that he watches the whole store and the employee was just putting things back, but it was so blatantly obvious. I left and went to PetSmart and Ross to finish my shopping. If I choose to go to TJ Maxx again it will not...
Read moreKind of appalled at the situation I dealt with at the store. I purchased multiple items one being a heat protectant hair spray. The item was full when I purchased it of course. However, when I got it home I noticed that the entire bottle pretty much had leaked out in the bag)there was maybe 10% liquid left in the bottle.) The associate that was helping me went to get her manager- her manager informed me that I couldn't return the item because there was NO PROOF that the item leaked... This is super offensive to me because I’m getting accused of lying by the store manager in front of a line of people behind me. No I live 25 minutes from the store I’m not gonna make a 25 minute drive just to scam a store out of seven dollar.. I know the manager doesn’t know where I live and what night but it really just rubbed me the wrong way and I will definitely not be going back to the store. Which is quite sad to me because this was one of my favorite stores. Oh well...
