Godfather's Pizza — Restaurant in Kansas City

Update: this place has lost significant quality. We called several hours ahead before bringing a group of 20+ for the lunch buffet on a Friday. There were 8 other diners in the restaurant when we entered, and fewer throughout the visit. After purchasing 23 lunch buffets at $10@ (in 4 different family groups), we were told that they could not honor our requests for 3 specific pizzas. Throughout the visit, there were multiple times when there were zero pizzas, or only 2-3 slices of specialty items. It was tough to keep 11 grandchildren happy with no cheese or pepperoni pizza, and no bread sticks! The employee told us that breadsticks were only cooked by request, and that, with 23 people, they couldn't guarantee that special orders would be eaten, if they brought them out. This was very disappointing, after we had told them our requests and our group size several hours in advance. No wonder the store was mostly empty on a Friday lunch rush!!

I am very saddened to update this review bc i had given it a 5 star a few years back. HOWEVER... I went into Godfathers yesterday for a mini. Yes, i was greeted right away by a delightful young lady. But once my order was placed, it went down hill quickly. There were 4 young people in the store. They were all talking loudly and playing. The same young lady that place my order said (and i quote) "Ewwww.... dont put that on there! Thats gross!! How long have these onions been sitting out. Thats nasty." I also saw the same young lady touch the cheese with her bare hands and place it in the pizza (dont know if it was mine or not). I was very shoked to see and hear this. I was pretty much fed up at that point. I asked the other young lady to give me a refund. I really dont care if i see the young people have fun at work. That doesn't bother me. What bothered my was the loudness and playing with my food.

Ordered a large half combo half taco pizza like we’ve ordered at godfathers since I was born (40 years). The lady said do you know it’s two different sauces? I said yea, no big deal you can just eye ball it half and half. She took our order and charged us $38.00, then said she spoke to the manager and there is no way they can put half of one sauce with toppings on one side of the pizza and half of another sauce with toppings on the other? So we would have to pick one sauce only. I said we do this all the time at godfathers? She said “nope he said it was impossible”. Really? impossible? Is that really the best choice of words here? Ladle and eyeball sauce 50/50 is an impossible task? Thank god this management staff isn’t in charge of something that actually matters, we would have never made it out of caves.
