I feel like the quality of food has gone downhill since being bought out by the parent company of Famous Dave's. They used to have a gluten-free menu, but they no longer do. You have to ask the server about gf accommodations. Thankfully, our server was knowledgeable. They have gf buns and flatbreads. Their regular fries are coated, but the waffle fries are gluten friendly. (Not celiac safe.) The Flatbread was mediocre at best. My husband had the tuscana, and the chicken was dry. We also had their Idaho nachos as an appetizer, and they were the best part of our meal. We were seated under an AC vent, and the condensation dripped on us as we got to our table. The tile floor was wet, but they did at least have a "caution wet floor" sign right by our table. Overall, not very impressive for the price.

In an age off Covid curbside orders, I cut every restaurant a lot of slack because taking food to go doesn't do it any favors. That being said, beware of the GCFB Chicken Pot Pie. The inside was cream of chicken soup. Nothing more. The "hand cut veggies" were all but non existent (I've seen better in a frozen bag of Walmart veggies) and not fresh, not hand cut. The pastry was a bit sad and quite pale; it likely didn't get much baking time.(Nick and Jake's has an out of this world homemade Chicken Pot pie) We've ordered salads, soups, and desserts from GCFB lately and all have been quite good. I'm still a fan of GCFB, but BEWARE of the Chicken Pot Pie. Avoid it as a take out item. You're better off opening a can of Campbell's Cream of Chicken Soup and putting a piece of white toast on the top.

PROs: Good location in shopping mall. Plenty of parking. Wait time was less than 15 mins. Friendly staff. CONs: Brunch plates were next to the bathroom entrance (unappealing). The server (name withheld) wasn't prepared to take our orders when he came back the 2nd time. We had no silverware at the table (it was provided after we received our meals). No attendants overseeing the brunch stations. Brunch areas were unkept and disorderly. Cameron was kind enough to leave his omelet station to refill the pastry area. There was also a bucket in the dining area to catch water leaks but there was also paper towels & towels left on the ground near the bucket with no signage. The service and establishment lost it's touch. We partaked in the St. Patty's brunch & ordered (2) Millionaire Bacon Burger.

We came here for my sister's birthday and had a horrible experience. We sat in the bar and the service was okay a bit slow as to be expected when you have one person running around. Most restaurants have at least two bartenders on the weekend to accommodate the increased business but not this place or at least the time we were in. We had a group of 6, the food came out at one time but 3 of our meals were not hot. Okay fine. Then we go to order a dessert and it takes over 20 minutes to come out that we actually started to tab out to make it to our next event. It was very frustrating watching our bartender Isabella standing around talking now that the rush was over (this was at 2pm, no rush of customers at that time) The server offered no remedy, did not even call her manager to talk with us. We were not overly demanding and a pleasant group and in general don't believe people should be treated this way. So I went to the host and asked for the manager who was rude from the start, glazed eyes and just emotionless. Caleb White the general manager listened to me and then looked me in the face and said what do you want me to do about it? I'm sorry you feel this way. Like no sir this is what happened this is about the poor service you and your staff provided. It was really unacceptable. He was dismissive and very condescending. I expressed that I felt he did not care as someone in his position as the general manager he was very unprofessional and clearly does not care about his job in any way shape or form. Very very disappointed and won't be back to this place. The Granite City at the legends is way better with an amazing staff. Do you and your family a favor and go to any other restaurant in Zona Rosa.

Based on some of the other reviews I read the poor service and slow food is not a one off and developing quite the reputation for crappy places to dine. Do not spend your time and money at a place that does not value...

My first time to a Granite City and I'm not very impressed. I arrived shortly after 1 PM on a Tuesday. There were very few patrons. I approached the hosting station, where a hostess was speaking on the phone. I waited patiently for almost 5 minutes without any acknowledgement that I was even present. After she hung up the phone, she finally looked at me and asked, "can I help you?" I replied that I would like a seat. Without hesitation, she seated me in the bar, although others were seated in the dining room and I did not ask for the bar. OK, so I let that go. The bartender came over after I was seated. I ordered water with no ice to start. She was prompt with the water, but it arrived with ice. Alright, I r prefer no ice, but I'll let that slide. I then ordered a mimosa. The drink was brought out in a wine glass...filled with ice!!! Hello? Is anyone listening? And secondly, who pours a mimosa over ice? My order was for French onion soup and a petit Caesar salad with dressing made specially in-house. They came from the kitchen very quickly. The soup is so bland that I had to add salt. In my 50+ years, I've never had a French onion soup that needed salt! The salad is equally tasteless. The dressing tastes watered down, certainly not a traditional Caesar flavor at all. No one ever stopped by to ask how my meal was, although the waitress did drop of the bill as she swept by the table without a word and before my salad was barely 1/2 finished. I felt rushed, yet stayed to finish my meal. The service is sorely lacking & food is acceptable. I wont be coming back. I am sorry I did not go with my first choice, 54th Street Grill & Bar @ 7200 NW 86th Terrace Kansas City, MO 64153. They have consistent quality food and conscientious waitstaff. Definitely my LAST visit to a...

My parents were in town and staying near the airport and I wanted to eat somewhere new, enter Granite City, a place I haven't eaten at in years. After that meal it'll be years before I go back.

We walked in and there was a large puddle on the floor by the front desk. There was a sign marking it, so maybe there was a leak somewhere? We then went to our table and it wasn't clean, we asked someone to clean it. But even after she wiped it, the table still felt greasy. The floor also seemed greasy. There were not very many people, despite this, we were seated directly next to another table so our backs were up against theirs, which can be problematic, and they were also a loud bunch. Two tables nearby us sat empty the entire time we were there so we were annoyed at our seating situation.

I got a beer sample, which wasn't very good, but the server never asked if I wanted a full glass. I would've said no if she had. I got the fish n chips and they were disappointing. No flavor to the batter and their tarter sauce didn't help that. It was very watery so it wouldn't cling to my fish and it wasn't flavorful either. My wife's sandwich was dry and didn't taste very good, and my dad's chicken Alfredo pasta dish was lackluster. He said the chicken was dry and the sauce may as well have been store bought.

Overall the service was disappointing. The server seemed distracted even though she only had a couple of tables to work, so we were waiting a long time for refills, as well as for condiments, which we had to remind her of a couple times.

So all in all, disappointing meal, disappointing experience, and we won't be back. There are much...
