First visit to the this location. We've always been pleased with the MD and NJ locations. FL is a bit iffy. I would have to recommend the location on Star Dr in Liberty over this location. Just came in for a quick bite of late lunch around 330. Not busy at all. We sat at Tha table in bar area. It was sticky like glue. This time of day the bar is bright and festive. I have to start with the checkout process. I came in specifically to use a $5 bonus card which expires soon. I gave her the bonus card and said I wanted to use it. And then I gave her the $25 gift card. She gave me both cards back and said there's $10 left on your gift card and $5 on your bonus card. ??🤯 What?? She claimed she had to use the gift card FIRST? What kind of scam is this?? So how do I use the bonus card?? That's why I specifically said to use the bonus card. Sorry, minus another star for that. I've never encountered that before anywhere. I'll have to ask the manager how this works. It seems crazy . If I have to pay with cash or credit card to use the bonus card, they could have told me that and I would do it. Back to my food review... It's been a while since my last visit to a Red Robin, so I'm looking forward to the snazzy Banzai burger with its slice of pineapple. After squeezing lemon into my drink, Immediately noticed there are no cocktail napkins within reach, which most bars seem to have. Bartender was talking to the manager so I walked around until I was able to find dinner naps at the far end. Also no sweeteners within sight .I like to add Splenda or similar to my lemon water. The sweetener was a knockoff brand, which is becoming standard. I just expected name brand with a these prices. We started off with bottomless fries which arrived right away. They were barely lukewarm. Served with a tangy sauce and ranch dressing. I tried both despite my onion allergies. The tangy was just ok for me, but my dining partner enjoyed both sauces. I opted for plain old ketchup after a few bites. The fries that came with the meal were warmer but not hot. Might be due to the snow outside. The 3rd round of fries was piping hot and delicious. The first 2 rounds had a surprising number of rotten tasting fries. I didn't specify medium-well on my burger, they didn't ask. Fortunately the burger came med-well. Last time I ordered a banzai burger a couple years ago, I vividly remember being barely able to fit it in my big mouth. Unfortunately, today's burger was easily bitten into. I'll try asking for extra lettuce, tomato and mayo next time and see if it helps. Never did get any silverware. I suppose that's OK for burger n fries, but I like to scoop up the bits of lettuce as well. I suppose I'll be back again to try and spend that bonus card..but maybe not to this location. Update: Made a 2nd visit to use the bonus card. Checked myself out this time and no problems. Wait staff Rue provided the best service and attitude I've had since pre covid. Made the 2nd visit a much better experience. Even the fries were better. And I was able to try the chips as well, but switched back...
Read moreIn an attempt to get out and support local businesses trying to come back from the shutdown, we went into this restaurant on 05/17/2020 in the mid afternoon to have an adult beverage. There were only about 6 cars in the parking lot. Seemed like less people when we went in.
The FOUR ladies at the hostess stand got us seated pretty quickly since there were TONS of open tables. We were socially distant with one table between us and another party. That party had a very attentive worker chatting away with them.
Between 5 and 10 minutes later (after a few stares from me), this worker at least called for someone to come wait on us. About 5 minutes later our server arrived to take our drink order (Bacardi and diet in a tall glass). Another 5 minutes passed before our drinks arrived. We decided to order an appetizer and it was delivered very promptly. We had another round (another 5 minutes) before we decided we had had enough.
The final straw was when we saw a worker (probably a bus person), sitting in the corner with his phone. He was masked and wearing gloves. When he rubbed his glove covered finger on his nose, we knew we were in the wrong place.
Our server promoted using the table top checkout. Since I always pay cash, I did not want to touch the thing, but she was insistent. I have attached a copy of our tab. We were charged $5.29 for BAC 151. It definitely was not Barcardi 151. Especially since they quit selling it in 2016. In addition we were charged $2.89 for the soda to go with it BOTH TIMES. Four cocktails and one order of pretzel bites and our bill came to over 40 bucks.
Although I have been pleased with their food in the past, I will never return to an operation that basically ignores the patron, charges for premium liquor not served and allows their staff to not even follow basic cleanliness standards. Forget a pandemic.
You know, I would not be writing this review IF the Red Robin 'customer service' had responded to my concerns. It is only fair to give the business a chance to make it right, but they ignored me as well. It is well into the third day since I contacted them. So far, nothing but their cheesy auto response telling me how much they...
Read moreI honestly wish I could give 0 stars. This by far was the worst dining experience I have ever had. We were sat in a decent time, that is the only positive thing I have to say. When sat, we ordered drinks. That took over 5-10 minutes to receive, refill time came and the server says we are out of tea right now we can’t keep up. I might add it’s 6:30, the middle of dinner how do you run out of tea, but I let it go. Endless fries never came till our meal came, they were also “ unable to keep up with those” . The table behind ours asked to speak to a manager for the same reason, so I flagged him down. He was flippant and when I said, we have been sitting here over 20 minutes with no fires, 1 refill for part of our table and poor service. Finally our meal comes out, and about this time the manager comes over with free appetizer cards. I thought, ok he tried. Until I look at the cards. Only good for that loacation and they expire on 9/30. Well, we live over a hour from this location and I doubt we will be back in 2 weeks. I explain this to the server and ask if I can use it for the appetizer I ordered ( thank goodness I did, again with the no fries till the meal ) and she says no we can’t do that. Seriously! I might add no fry sauce was offered and she had no idea of what they were or how to find a menu with the names. Horriable service, horrible management! As we were leaving and she gave the ticket my husband got up to leave, and was visably annoyed. She then apologized and said was service that bad. Should I get the manager ? I said well, I tried that and was given a card I can’t use. She stood there as I was filling out her tip ammont and only then was she concerned. Never again! I will be contacting the...
