Lucky Boys is a classic bar & lounge in the West Bottoms of Kansas City that offers great bar drinks and excellent bar food items. Some of their food options include pizza, poutine fries, burgers, phillys & more. Thursday night is pizza night at Lucky Boys. We ordered a vodka sauce pizza with cheese, pepperoni, jalapeños, mushrooms, and arugula…YUM! If you go on a night that poutine is on the menu…do NOT miss out because they serve the best poutine fries I’ve ever had! There is a even a pool table here if you enjoy playing pool. I highly recommend checking out Lucky Boys while exploring in the KC West Bottoms.

Changing my review, previously had given them a bad review for mysterious closing for a long time. I’d been there many times to try to catch it open but that wasn’t the case. Finally have gone twice and the chicken burger was one of the best I’ve had! Pool table is a nice Valley table too. Not the newest but definitely up to par compared to most dive bars. Games are a dollar and the drink price is reasonable, worth visiting!

I was told they serve pizza on Tuesdays and Thursdays ( I could be wrong) They are willing to accommodate my olive oil allergy with the pizza sauce since as of June 2023 there is no olive oil in the dough just in the sauce. I'm excited to play on that pool table next time!

Lucky Boys at 1615 Genessee Street, Kansas City, MO 64102. Is an inviting atmosphere with great music and an amazing collection of velvet paintings, those of you who were born in the 70s and early 80s know.

I happened to ask two of the crew for directions to a restaurant. They pleasantly invited me inside of theirs.

I was praying they had vegetarian options and they did!!!

It was delicious! I took the pictures because I had to get a good look and make sure they didn't give me real meat by accident. Lol. It's truly that good. What better to use for this review right?

Stop in and order food, order drinks if that's your thing, and enjoy the pleasant and peaceful atmosphere.

This place is terrible. One of the worst places i have ever received service from. The bar tenders are rude, they take forever to take your drink order, and worst of all, are not knowledgable. The place is filthy and smells like mold. Their pos system is out of date and takes an eternity to process orders. Little kid lemonade stands have a better system and prepare drinks faster.

I asked for an old fashioned and they asked me to get something less complicated.... I can only assume they have no idea what they are doing. I will never be coming back until they pick...
