This place has some of the best baked goods ever! I have a huge sweet tooth so I've been to my fair share of donut joints, but this place has hands down the BEST apple fritters I've ever had! They're warm and crunchy on the outside, but soft and oh so ooey gooey on the inside. Not to be dramatic, but these apple fritters changed mah life! I was going to save some for my friend to try but it was literally so good I devoured the whole thing. Also got their sticky buns, baked cinnamon roll, and donut holes and they did not disappoint. The owner was so so kind and personable - conversations here always brighten my day and you can tell they really take the time to get to know their regulars. It's not surprising at all that there is always a line for this place because everything here is to die for. I would suggest coming earlier in the day because the donuts and rolls get snatched up real quick. The prices are very reasonable considering how gigantic their baked goods are. Due to Covid, the dining area is closed, but you can place an order to pickup or order at the window (just remember to bring your mask!). This is a must if you're ever in Kansas city and I would seriously consider making a road trip just to get my hands on their DELICIOUS baked goodies. I've been patronizing this establishment for just over a year, and since my first visit I have returned on a very regular basis and here's why: The food and service are UNEQUALED!
It is rare to find a perfect combination of QUALITY food and service in one place, but M & M Bakery & Delicatessen has MASTERED just that!
The owners/operators appear to pride themselves on not doing 'business as usual'. They seemed to have set a bar of SUPERIORITY that places them ahead of the pack!
I am a realistic and I do understand that ALL establishments are flawed in one way or another. However, M & M Bakery and Delicatessen's overarching presentation and product renders the flaws insignificant at best.

I love this place. They have been in this neighborhood for years and wishing them many more years to stay in this community. Did I say I L-O-V-E this place? My husband and I were married in 1975 and we got married at the courthouse and had a small family reception and we ordered our wedding reception cake from them and it was absolutely the best sheet cake ever. Over the years I became unable to get to the bakery, but recently was taken back there for a sandwich and boy when I say the memories came flooding back is truly an understatement.
