I have been going to this restaurant for 9years. The staff is usually great. I ordered the kung pao chicken. It’s not supposed to come breaded! I have ordered this a lot from this place and never had it breaded. I was really upset to come home to find my meat breaded and no sauce on it the meat was very dry and not like normal. I called the lady who called me back and instead of fixing the order she just kept telling me that’s the way it was made. Very frustrating when your picture in your lobby shows the meal the way I wanted it ordered and I end up getting something I didn’t order. I don’t eat breaded meats and I give my rice away due to a medical condition. This was very upsetting and I didn’t get to eat the food at all. This is almost like ordering Generals chicken with veggies. Bring back the original Kung Pao Chicken not this breaded Nasty Dish please!!!

I loved loved loved the orange chicken. Perfect amount of orange flavor, real orange peels, and crispy. No bad pieces of chicken that were chewy or anything that you have to spit out. Cheaper than Panda Express for a better taste. I paid 11.75 for a combination plate and egg drop soup, it was a 2.00 up charge for lo mein so if you don’t get the noodles it would be 9.75 plus tax. You have an option to get different side with the combo like crab Rangoon but I chose the soup.

I’ve had a LoT of really BAD Chinese food all over the metro. Ming Garden is awesome. We’ve eaten at Ming Garden 3 times and it was very good every time. The restaurant is small and not fancy, but their food is among the best in KC. We will be back even though it’s 45 minutes away.

Place is dirty inside! They have soaps , laundry products and other items they try to sell all over the place! , no one even eats in there. We still gave them the benefit and had placed an order to go. My daughter only eats crab Rangoon and they didn’t give us our order of that of course , just our luck! Tried to call them a few mins before they closed when we realized and they completely ignored all calls. Had to wait till Tuesday when they opened back up to call them. They stated they would give us the order of crab Rangoon when we go back there. This place isn’t close to us and because of the gas and distance the manager stated she would give us two orders for the inconvenience (I asked for this of course because they didn’t offer) Today my son went to pick them up and was only given one order. When I called the lady basically yelled at me and told me I would only get one order. I could pay for the other order if I wanted them. Don’t tell customers you will do something if you’re not going to do it! With gas prices astronomical, it’s the least they could do when THEY messed up! .. my husband and son order from here also spending $40 or more every time. Seems so silly to treat customers that way over a little $5 order of crab Rangoon! Super unprofessional and plain rude! WE Won’t...

Used to be a good place to go for Chinese but last visit when we got home our pork fried rice looked strange and the chicken was overcooked went back immediately and confronted them about this. They claimed they were out of fried rice and within the five minutes, it took us to get home and turn around and go back they all of a sudden had pork fried rice back in stock. REALLY?!! He told us that they had used white rice and added ingredients to make it look like fried rice which he claimed it was still good to eat. He used ingredients that we could have been allergic too when substituting ingredients to make it look like pork fried rice! Not right deceiving customers like that. We insisted they redo the rice as they wouldn't redo the overcooked chicken. They staple the food containers which I think is not a safe practice. This place is not the cleanest looking, customer service is horrible and on top of that deceiving us with the pork fried rice and burnt chicken is inexcusable! This place will no longer get...

My dinner with tax was $8.01. For this I got enough Sweet & Sour chicken for dinner and breakfast (I love cold Chinese food for breakfast). This also came with a cup of hot & sour soup. Soup wasn't too bad, and it actually had a sour taste to it. I'm embarrassed to say that I'll stop at Hy-Vee from time to time for their sweet and sour chicken since it is convenient (more convenient than good). Ming Garden should be a lot better since this is their speciality, but they weren't. Although the chicken had good chicken flavor, the breading was more pancake like (more spongy than crispy). There was also a strange light banana flavor to the dish. The white rice was mushy. The restaurant itself is depressing and in some serious need of attention. Considering my meal was so cheap, they need to add a buck to each dish for renovations. Maybe the food would have tasted better if the restaurant looked better; or maybe the restaurant wouldn't have looked so bad if the food...
