TIPS SCAM: So I ate there the other night. I went to the Counter and got my $18.50 Lo Mein dish TO GO. Therefore, I did not feel the need to leave a tip. I am NOT too happy about the fact that one the wait staff took it upon herself to temporarily TIP HERSELF FROM MY DEBIT CARD! Yes! Probably, I've heard...so that they can APPEAR to have more Tips at the end of the night so that they can take home more cash each night, which is essentially stealing from their boss. They add an amount of approx $2-4 onto what you ACTUALLY told them to swipe it for. Then, they go ahead and swipe for that extra and take it back off within the next one or two days. When I checked my bank account after I got home (which they don't expect you to do so soon I guess, I saw the theft abd drove right back up there about it. I returned immediately and politely asked the staffer who had rang me up about it. She played dumb and pretended it was some kind of recent glitch that just just started occurring. She reassured me that when the transaction clears that it'll be my original amount. This shows that she KNEW exactly how the scam works. She pretty much lied to me just to appease me for the monent. I then called my Bank and she tried to explain it as if it was OKAY for a company to toy with your money. Not to mention the fact that the bank rep contradicted herself: First she said it was the Card, then she said it was the restaurant. Either way it made no sense, and is WRONG. If you're that desperate and greedy for Tips, then you should get a 2nd or 3rd Jod rather than stealing from Customers, even if only for a day or two! It is NOT RIGHT to toy with people's money and debit cards. This is very sneaky and disgusting. But the Food was great! If I ever DO eat in there again I'll be SURE to pay with...
Read moreThis place is second to none. We started out with the sampler appetizer which was delicious. It had egg rolls, crab wontons, tempura shrimp, and fried gyoza. These are the best egg rolls I’ve ever come across, crunchy yet flaky and delicious. I enjoyed mine with sriracha for a kick of spice. We also enjoyed the spring rolls that came with the most delicious peanut sauce. Next we tried several different sushi rolls (Spicy Shrimp tempura roll, Crab crunch roll, California roll and Samurai roll) each had something amazing to offer and all are to die for, my favorite is the samurai roll. Bob is a master of magic in how he creates these rolls and the sauces on top of the sushi rolls are made fresh and are simply delicious. Our entree was yum beef (medium spice) with sticky rice and the Thai papaya salad (medium spice). First the yum beef, the collected flavors of marinated steak mixed with shallots, lime, mint, cilantro and green onions topped with the spice and the sticky rice will have your taste buds thanking you for the experience. This is a finger food that I ate with my hands a pinch of the meat with a pinch of the sticky rice. The papaya salad was incredible as well with the snake beans, Asian eggplant, peanuts and etc. What an amazing combination of flavors I experienced in one setting. The service was amazing from the time we walked in until the time we left. Their attention to detail in the service, food and the overall experience shows that they care about each of their customers. This is a small business off the beaten path but is well worth indulging in. Next time you’re in KCK make sure you stop by, you can...
Read moreSo good! Best restaurant we’ve found since we moved to suburbia! We were a little worried that they offer sushi, Thai and pho all under one roof and we wondered if they could do well in all those different areas? But everything we got tonight was excellent including Cajun edamame, seafood Tom yum noodles (very complex broth), Basil beef fried rice (beef quality was excellent), dirty martini (very few restaurants at this price point can do this drink well), Thai tea or something like that cocktail (very unique flavor). Server was attentive and gave helpful suggestions. My only very slight critic= if you are an experienced Thai food connoisseur, go for what you think you can handle for you spice level, no matter what the server says. Comparing them to other local Thai restaurants, they are NOT as spicy Thai Place. After trying it, we thought they were about the same spice level as Hot Basil and Lulu’s. For example, I think I could have done “hot” there because I can at Lulu’s and Hot Basil, but I can’t hack that level at Thai Place. I ordered “medium” at Naree but wished I’d gone for hot.. I don’t blame the sever at all for cautioning me against “hot,” as she has probably had a lot of novices order this and then send it back. She did offer to spice it up more after it came out which is the prudent way to go if you aren’t sure what you can handle. I didn’t say I wanted more spice so there was no way she could have known. I just mention this to hep others gage what level to...
