I do not recommend dining this particular location. As we waited to be seated, we visited the bar to which it was a struggle to get the bartender’s attention. Not because she was serving other customers but that she had her back to the back and handling other task. Once we were seated we ordered shots along with our food orders. The waiter did check on us multiple times but lack the experience provide ample service. He came and asked us if we gotten the shots, claiming that someone else was suppose to bring us the shots (although he was our waiter). We received the shots 25 minutes after we ordered them. At the 40 minute mark we inquired about our food to which we were informed that since the food is taking so long we could possibly get a comp for the meals or a discount. When the waiter returned with the manager. We explained that others who arrived after us were receiving their food items while we hadn’t. The manager attempted to rationale this by saying that since they ordered a particular item it comes out quicker than other items. Which is an unacceptable if we were seated and order more than 25 minutes than other customers even sat down. We were informed that our food was up next. We requested to just pay for our food and have it to go since we have been sitting in the very back of the establishment for an hour waiting on food. The food comes out in regular dishes when we requested to go at that point. We inquired about the comp or discount from the waiter since he was the one who initially mentioned it. He went to get the managed again who came out and asked what the problem as if we didn’t explain the first time. We explained once again the wait and the additional 20 minutes it took to just box up the food to go. We were given a 50% discount which was the least that could’ve been done considering we waited over an hour for food while other had order, ate, and paid who were seated after us. It was only two of us by the way. Once we arrived home we were greeted by very small containers of food. Now I expected this size for my RUE TRIO but for the $17.99 shrimp and grits should’ve had a way bigger portion than that. It’s almost like since they took 50% off the bill they also took 50% of the food!. The menu also stated that the shrimp and grits comes with a veggie of choice which was not included. Overall, very disappointed and will not make this mistake twice. Please be aware!

I was expecting it to be busier for a Saturday but there were only about five tables occupied and a group of people sitting at the bar. This was a plus for me because I didn't have too much time to have to wait. As usual, I made a visit to the ladies room. It was clean. The toilet seat in the stall that I used, looked like it had seen better days! It was beat up and rough looking. When I went to wash my hands, only one of the double sinks were working. There was no sign posted stating that the one sink was out of order. By the time I got back to my table, it wasn't too long afterwards that my server, Heather, came to take my order. She was very friendly and had an upbeat personality. If she didn't want to be at work that day, I couldn't tell! Throughout my visit, she checked on me plenty of times. I never had to wonder where she had wandered off to. I asked for a water and placed my order from the Triple Play menu. Upon bringing the water back, she also presented me with a complimentary appetizer. It was red beans, andouille sausage, queso and pico de gallo served with tortilla chips. It was so good! However, the water had an odd taste but what should I have expected from tap water. My food came out in less than 10 minutes! Talk about quick service! I ordered the boudin link, garlic sausage link and crispy fried shrimp. It all came with a side of dirty rice which I wasn't a big fan of. To me, the rice was barely seasoned; almost bland but had a little pepper. Where the dirty rice failed, the boudin made up for it! Big time! The boudin link was spicy but not overpowering; great flavor! It's the kind of spicy that makes you sniffle but you keep eating because you can't get enough. It was so good that I wanted to eat the skin and all, lol! I got the sausage The Tex-Orleans Way. I think it may have been an Old Bay seasoning rub but I could have done without it. To my surprise, it wasn't that salty but it was hot! The fried shrimp was nice and crispy served with the most addicting tartar sauce, and a good cocktail sauce. I usually don't care for cocktail sauce but this one was good! I'm definitely going back to BB's soon! This Katy location is far from my home but I do have a BBs closer to me, YAY!! I have got to get my hands on the boudin again!

I really wanted to rate this place higher because I like the place itself, but when I weighed the pros and cons of our experience, this was the honest truth. First the good stuff; The place is laid back with fun decore and plenty to look at. The Tex-Cajun Fries are delicious and our waiter was really nice. Ok, now the rest of the story; So when I asked what market price for oysters on the half shell was, I was told that oysters were not in season . Well, it's October and yes they are, but ok, maybe you're out or just misinformed. I ordered the Rockdale Redfish. It had great potential, but the fish was overcooked and the andouille cream sauce was a bit watery and didn't have anything to do with andouille, at least not on this day. My husband had the fried crawfish which came out only lukewarm and seemed to have been refried crawfish in oil that was not hot enough. Not good at all! He also got a drink that was not what he ordered and they forgot his bread twice. Being born and raised in Louisiana and coming from generations of great cooks, I guess I set the bar a bit high, but for the prices charged, they should be able to deliver the goods! The meal ended with a $70 check and 2 very disappointed customers.

I just left this establishment. It was one of the worst experiences ever. I stood at the bar for quite some time before a gentleman the bar told the bar tender I needed a drink. I simply took it that they were busy. We were sat in the banquet area I believe. We ordered crawfish and appetizers. Upon meeting our waitress disclosed that she's given all the "black tables" which is why she initially was displeased to serve us. I was shocked she said that bc she was black... she went further to say a lot of people ask her about it and I was extremely skeptical bc who asks that type of question and who would work for a place that did that? But bc a white gentleman at the bar had to tell the bar tender to serve me I thought maybe she's right. So now we feel as if this establishment has color lines. Not wanting to make my children uncomfortable we continued. We asked for bibs and wipes several times that we never received. I ordered a frozen margarita and after quite sometime I was told the machine was out. No problem I ordered one on the rocks. While paying she insisted we skip over the satisfaction survey. Realizing I would not be able to finish my drink I asked for it to go. She said they didn't do Togo so I proceeded to place my drink in a Togo cup only to be met by the general manager named Eric I believe. He said I could not take the drink so I said cool I will finish it...as he stood and watched. Before I finished he was called to another incident. Once I was done I asked for the manager to return so I could address my concerns. The waitress that had been our server got a different manager than the previous one. I could tell he may have been a lower level manager and I said I would wait for the one that she called initially. After showing his displeasure he left only to go to the hostess stand and begin to discuss his displeasure to the waitstaff because several of them that were standing there turned and glared at me. No problem. I stood and waited for the original manager and addressed all of my concerns.

I was made to feel uncomfortable by the bar tender, the waitress, and two managers.

I'm not sure how business is normally conducted but I would hope the staff is better trained better in the future. We were made to feel as if color was an issue by the bar tender and our waitress and then further isolated and talked about by two managers. I do not want anything from this establishment but to do better by others in the future. I've never had this happen before and I hope no one else has to go...
