Desi Flavors (Food Truck) — Restaurant in Katy

We had a picnic yesterday and were so happy to see the Desi Flavors food truck there! We tried their Masala Dosa, which was absolutely delicious, and the Dahi Puri was bursting with flavor—so good!

The Vada Pav was a bit of a letdown, though it seemed like it was made earlier and didn’t have that fresh, comforting feel. I’m sure if it had been made fresh on the spot, it would’ve tasted amazing. We also had the Samosa Chaat, which started off great, but toward the end, it felt like there was mostly chana and not enough samosa.

That said, the highlight for me was the people running the truck. The owner and team were incredibly kind, genuine, and truly care about the quality of their food and customer experience. They patiently listened to our feedback and were so warm in their approach.

If you’re considering them for an event, I’d highly recommend it. And if you haven’t tried their food yet you should! I also heard they serve a yummy biryani, which I’ll be trying soon. Will update you...

We had Desi Flavors food truck at a community picnic event and they did a phenomenal job. Food was delicious with the right flavors and we got to try all dishes that the team had selected for the picnic. We had Dahi Poori, Samosa Chaat, Masala Dosa, Vada Pav. My favorite was Masala Dosa and the chutney with it and Dahi Poori. Vada Pav was a bit cold by the time we had it but it tasted good, could’ve been better when it was had hot off the fryer.
