Terrible experience:
On arrival i was greeted after waiting for about 3 minutes for guys to arrange some water at the front.
I then walked up and stated "order for __". They didnt understand, "order for _". The two employees speak to eachother, pull up google translate and ask me to speak into the phone. I want to clarify i teach for a living and have the clearest english that you could imagine without any accent. I understand not everyone speaks english, but that is such a short, simple statement that should be known if working at a food truck.
I waited an additional 5-7 minutes for the entree after it was ordered about 5 minutes prior to arrival which was fine, expected.
This is the main issue i had, my wife hates pickles to the extent that she doesnt want to eat anything its on as she can taste it even after taking them off. This was stated explicitly to put it on the side with whoever we ordered from on the phone who speaks english just fine. Im assuming during the transition (due to the language barrier) to the employees in the food truck, this request was lost.
I realize this when we get home, call them, and realized their customer service is a complete joke. We stated what the issue was and asked what they could do. We were told "i dont know what to tell you, take the pickles off?" Stated in the most nonchalant "idgaf" mood you could imagine.
We said ok thats fine and subsequently ended the call. Whether its employees or the owners, i dont know which, they have forgotten that we (and the rest of the community) are the reason the job and business exists.
Customer service doesnt exist here for a food truck when theres an issue with the food i guess? Not going back.
As far as the food, the chicken sandwich was small for the price compared to the other 20 local chicken food truck options within a 3 mile radius. I cant say much on the taste as it wasnt eaten.
UPDATE:
This review was solely left based on the poor customer service after i received my food as I CLEARLY stated that it was expected and fine with the wait at the start.
Not greeted for several minutes as they stare at me? ignored (even though the other food truck i walked by did immediately within a 2-3 meter proximity). Cant get a receipt showing i paid because i paid cash? ignored (could be lack of training again or the "POS system").
As evidenced by the response, if your order is incorrect, move on with your day, forget about it. If it doesn't bother them it shouldn't bother you. Complain about lack of training? they'll give you a speech about the u.s. and assume you despise immigrants.
We called and explained what occurred with a neutral demeanor which is on several cameras. We simply wanted to see what they would do to compensate, a sincere apology would've sufficed, but it wasn't sincere, at all. It was such an apathetic response followed by an asinine suggestion we knew there was no purpose in resuming the...
Read moreI’m on my way to chick fil a now as I write this cause that’s how bad these wings were. Honestly the most disgusting wings I’ve ever had. They remind me of the Tyson chicken wings you get at the supermarket because they have that same chewy texture and when you bite into it they’re dry and flavorless and smell like they’ve been sitting in the refrigerator for weeks. The mac and cheese was watery and flavorless might as well call it mac and orange water The fries were mediocre at best nothing out of this world but if I’m paying for overpriced food I’m expecting something over the top I really wanted to like this place because I saw houstonfoodies promoting it and on the first day she posted I showed up and the truck was closed I even waited an hour past their opening time and they were still closed. Tried to msg them because they don’t have a phone number and they still didn’t answer now I’m starting to think this houstonfoodies girl just promotes what they pay her to cause this was not it. Poor quality, poor customer service, just an awful...
Read moreWent there the other day and it was so delicious. Their hot chicken sandwich was tender and crispy all at the same time, and the coleslaw was top notch. They had different kind of fries, I got the buffalo ranch fries which tasted so amazing. And lastly I had the wingbox combo which I recommend, the flavors of wings were so unique, I got the maple buffalo and the mango habanero, both were amazing and full of flavor, the wings were juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside, Mac n cheese is included and it was actually very good. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel like a valued customer. They took the time to explain the menu options and even recommended some of their personal favorites. If you're ever in the area make sure to visit this food truck because this one definitely stands out not only for its delicious food but also for the exceptional customer service and the unique variety of flavors. Will be...
