Where to begin, the coffee or the ice cream?! They are both so delicious! The coffee is so smooth, many coffee shops serve bitter coffee so I add lots of cream and flavor to mask that taste. I actually could drink this black it’s so smooth. It’s locally roasted, so that’s a big win for me. The ice cream, wow, they are truly artists in their concoctions. I am making my way through their ice cream flavors, none have disappointed. From adventurous flavors like habanero pineapple to a new and better take on cookies and cream. They weave in their Brazilian culture into the menu, using all natural ingredients and unique flavor pairings. Their brand, Scoop of Blessing. How appropriate. Friends Ice Cream and Coffee has a Mission and Purpose Board on their wall. They want “to embrace and serve all people with special needs and their families with the love of Jesus Christ.” They want to give a blessing to both the customer and the employees. I seen the reviews online when looking for my morning cup of coffee (I'm not from Houston). Friends had 89 reviews with a 5.0 rating. They did not disappoint, the coffee was amazing and as I found out by speaking with the owner he roast and blends his own coffee in-house and it shows up every bit in his cup of Joe! After conversing a while I found out he basically makes everything himself from ice cream, to coffee and even the creamers for the coffee.

It was a pleasure to meet someone that cares so much about his business, quality products and customer service.

Oh BTW, with all the effort he puts into his products you would think the cost would be high (and well worth the value). However, the prices are very reasonable compared to corporate places and especially when you consider the quality of the products.

Highly recommend, 10 of 10 and you're definitely missing out if you don't stop by. I am very upset I live in the Memphis area and can't drop in more often. But be sure when I'm in Houston you know...

This place is by far amazing for families with kids not only did they have such a fun safe environment for kids to play but they were all very nice respectful employees by the way their coffee tastes amazing as well and our kids enjoyed their ice cream I mean it was such a wonderful experience they even had board games for the kids it is safe to say that we will definitely be coming back to this amazing establishment oh almost forgot to mention that all tips go straight to a wonderful cause of helping special needs children man we just fell in love with this place and I’m sure your...
