Read moreToday I had an awful experience . I came around 12 pm and we were sat at a bar top . We weren’t even asked for our seating preference , they just sat us there . As someone in the service industry I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt . We were then greeted by our waitress . She was super friendly at first very talkative and sweet . When we paid we requested to pay in cash . She asked my friend did she want her change back . You don’t ever ask for a customers change because it’s like asking for a tip . So she basically asked for a tip . My total was around 17 dollars , and I gave her two twenties. Any server would clearly understand that , it means I would like change back . I verbally asked can I please have some change . She comes back with the original twenty I gave her and 2 dollar bills. She didn’t even round up the remaining 55 cents . And I don’t care about the money at all or the couple of cents she shorted me , it’s the principle , and the fact that she thought she could short me and I wouldn’t notice . I left her 6 dollars that’s over 50% . I asked her again , can I have change for the twenty as I was confused why she didn’t give it to me the first time . She literally snaps at me and responds with so much annoyance and attitude I was taken a back by it . She asked me in what way , as if why are you still talking to me and asking me for stuff . At first she just left the money on our table and walked away and didn’t even thank or say anything . But when she snapped at me for asking for change i felt very disrespected and It left such a bad taste . I truly love postinos but I don’t even feel comfortable coming back here , the food is great per usual but the rudeness of our server showed us how inexperienced she is . I've been a server for 5 years and have never been treated or talked to anyone in such a way . To the server who served me , i am not a teenager that doesn't understand how tipping works , I hope you understand that you must be nice to everyone in this business you won’t know who will tip you and who won’t , my friend told me not to tip you and you weren’t rude to her you were rude to me , and I overtopped you just to...
Read moreCool atmosphere!! So it has been a while since my last review, but I thought this was a good opportunity to get back in the swing of things and review Postino at LaCenterra Cinco Ranch in Katy. The wife and I wanted to try it out for lunch and right when we walked in, we were warmly greeted by a hostess and taken straight to our table. As we took a look around, the theme of telephones from multiple time periods was pretty cool. They even have an old phone booth which they say the pay phone is operational (although I did not try it). Once seated, the waitress was quick to deliver our menus and introduce herself. As you may recall from previous posts, the wife is a vegan and I am a meat eater, so sometimes it can be a bit difficult to find a restaurant that will satisfy both of us. However, this was not the case with Postino. To start out with we ordered the Sweet Potato Wedges as an appetizers. The sweet potatoes were cooked perfectly, were miost, very flavorful and enjoyed by both of us. Then the wife ordered the Vegetarian Panini minus the creamy feta cheese. As for me, I must have been in need of a carbohydrate loading day because I landed upon the Brushetta (gluten free bread is availble as an option) which allows you to choose 4 different toppings. Ahh... there is nothing like flavor variety in a meal, which for this meal included the Fresh Mozzarella, Tomato & Basil, the Warm Artichoke Spread, the Burrata, Bacon (which I asked to be removed since I am not a fan of bacon, but I love arugula which is why I ordered it) & Tomato and finally the Brie Apple & Fig Spread which I saved for last as a desert. All of our orders arrived in a timely manner and were spot on. As mentioned above the Sweet Potatoe Wedges were great, the Panani my wife ordered was fresh and she throughly enjoyed it and as for the Brushetta quad oder, it was fantastic. Needless to say we had a great experience and would...
