Here’s a polished version of your review:
When we arrived at the steakhouse, the atmosphere immediately stood out—open, warm, and impeccably clean. The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, making us feel welcome from the start. The complimentary homemade sweet rolls served upon seating were absolutely divine—warm, fresh, and a perfect way to kick off the evening.
My girlfriend ordered the Sugar Cookie Martini (photos attached), and it tasted even better than it looked—sweet, festive, and expertly crafted. She also tried the cranberry apple candied pecan salad, which she claimed was one of the best salads she’s ever had in her life—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced.
We also sampled the steak tartare. While I’m personally not a fan of the olives and anchovies blended into the dish, that’s just a matter of taste. It was clear the dish was made with great care and precision, so if those flavors are your thing, you’ll love it.
Next, we tried the deviled eggs with bacon jam and crispy bacon on top, and wow—just wow! The depth of flavor completely redefined what I thought was possible with deviled eggs. They were absolutely amazing and left us wanting more.
The service was excellent; our dishes were frequently cleared, so the table never felt cluttered. The music in the restaurant was played at the perfect volume—just right for easy conversation—and the playlist itself was fantastic, enhancing the overall vibe.
For our mains, my girlfriend had the filet cheesy pasta, which she thoroughly enjoyed, while I went with the 8oz Filet Mignon. Both dishes were cooked to perfection and beautifully presented.
Overall, this steakhouse exceeded our expectations on every level—from the ambiance and service to the food and drinks. We can’t...
Read moreI saw the back of this restaurant from the inexpensive hotel located behind the strip mall in which it is situated. I walked over for lunch. It was very good. Much better than the setting would suggest.
They had a couple of beef Wellington’s left from the Wednesday and I opted to give it a try. I always opt for beef Wellington if available somewhere. This was as good as any I’ve had.
The puff pastry was perfect. The steak was a perfect medium rare. It looked a little red in the middle, but it was perfectly warm throughout. Made for great flavor and consistency. The rosemary gives it a nice aromatic element. The duxel was mushroom and paired nicely with the sauce.
I got the baked potato. The server, a nice young man who’s name I can’t remember precisely, advised getting the loaded baked potato with the ingredients on the side so it could be constructed in the order preferred - butter first. Smart recommendation.
At $50 it’s both expensive but also exactly what steak costs today. But I’ve paid a lot more at other places and gotten a lot less in quality and quantity.
Nice rolls at the opening with a pecan butter.
I went in on Saturday at noon and it was empty. If you live in the area and like steak I would recommend going - this great neighborhood option and I think you would be disappointed at the most opportunity if it goes...
Read moreHubby and I decided to try this restaurant after seeing on Houston Restaurant Week. It's located on the 99 heading South towards Morton Ranch Rd but if you don't look carefully, you will miss it.
When we walked in, we were greeted and seated at the booth.
My hubby and I decided to order the crab cake for appetizers. The crab cake was smothered with creamy sauce topped with scallops. The scallops were cooked perfectly and tender and crab cake itself was decent but had a little fishy flavor.
The main entree that we ordered was the tomahawk for 2. The waiter had informed us that it came with 4 sides so we decided on baked potato, lobster bisque (recommended by the waiter), mushrooms and zucchini. One thing that we failed to review the sides on the menu carefully and also it would help if the waiter had mentioned an "upcharge" on the lobster bisque or any premium sides since we did not find out until the bill. :-/
The lobster bisque was overwhelmed by tarragon and the texture of the baked potato was a bit hard. I had no issue with the zucchinni or mushrooms.
The tomahawk was cooked medium to our liking but it wasn't tender enough.
Overall the waitstaff was attentive and we love the warm rolls with pecan butter; also came with a side of chimichurri infused oil to dip. May return to try other dishes if we are...
