Urban Bird Hot Chicken — Restaurant in Texas

The food here is legitimately good. Tenders and fries are well seasoned and perfectly cooked. The sauce is delicious and complements the fried items well. The issue I have with this place is how awfully long it takes to get your food. I placed an order at 6:35 pm on the way home from work. The app they use estimated it to be ready at 6:51 pm. I arrived at 6:57 pm and waited. And waited. And waited some more. It wasn't until 7:52 pm that I finally got my order. They need to use different software that will have a better estimate, or maybe just prepare the food in a more efficient manner.

To that end I won't be back during busy times. They can't handle it. I wonder if other locations fare any better in terms...

I placed a to-go order as I was driving to the restaurant after work and I was told that it would be 15-20 minutes. No problem. They couldn't understand my name over the phone. Again, no problem at all. I drive 35 minutes to the store and they hadn't even started to make the food! And I wasn't the only patron who was having such a long wait with no reason. They weren't even organized enough to know when I had already paid for the meal! A worker attempted to get me to pay again and I had to explain to him that I already paid. The food was great; however, the service was disappointing. I asked for ranch with my meal, but when it was brought out, it didn’t come with it. I had tipped beforehand, so I expected the person at the front counter to be more courteous when I went back to ask for my ranch. He was already rude from the start and responded, “Yeah, I’m gonna have to charge you for it.” You repeated my order twice—it’s not my fault the ranch was forgotten. On top of that, the tables in the seating area were all dirty. The food was excellent, but the front counter staff needs to improve their attitude.
