I was hopeful when I found this coffee shop since I would like to move away from Starbucks. The atmosphere is nice, the menu is on the smaller side, and the cashier is friendly. Price wise, they are cheaper than most coffee shop (around $1 to $2). The big plus is that I like that they do not charge for alternative milk. This is a big plus for me since I am severely lactose intolerance, and I always feel the pinch whenever I get charged for alternative milk for a condition that I can not control.
However, personally, the negative is going to outweigh the positive. I ordered a large ice latte with oatmilk and one medium regular latte (hot) with whole milk. It took 20 minutes for me to get the two order because they kept messing up the drinks. I am not sure why the confusion happened as the order is pretty simple, and it's right there on the ticket where it clearly said the order (the ticket was in front of me and was not complex). When I complained, I felt very brushed off and told it wasn't a "big deal." As stated I have severe allergy to milk so making my drink with whole milk is not going to end well for me and can land me in the hospital so unfortunately I do find it a big deal (sorry to sound like a karen).
The time I spent trying to get my drink made correctly and watching the coffee keep being thrown away was less than desirable. I don't know if it was because of the experience, but overall, when I finally got the coffee, I did not enjoy the taste. In hindsight, I should have gotten my money back and went down the road to Starbucks.
Overall, if you are not in a rush and can wait for your drink, then the place is for you, but make sure to watch the employee make the drinks/food if you are sensitive to...
Read moreI came here today for the first time with my mother, and needless to say the food was great, loved the beverages we both got, but as much as the atmosphere was amazing the workers just didn’t seem like the best, i understand a job is a job! Great but at least fake it till you make .when we were seated we finished our food and my mom wanted to order something else she did so ,and when the lady told her coworker what she needed as in what my mom ordered the lady just laughed and shook her head, I found it very weird but I ignored it. Lastly when someone came thru the drive thru, (we were seated by the drive thru) I acknowledged it and moved on but when the worker was explaining to the customer that the only small size they had was a medium and I’m not sure what they ended up ordering but once she was done taking her order I overheard her saying “she kept sayin small small small”, pretty much mimicking her but not in a innocent way more like annoyed so I found that very unprofessional and not a behavior she should have toward a customer her job is to explain to us what they carry in their shop not being taunted in secret. The atmosphere/vibe would’ve been even better if the workers didint make such remarks and...
Read moreI was thrilled when Coffee Fellows opened in the U.S., starting with Houston and then Katy. With 230 locations across Europe, I had high hopes—and they delivered. The coffee was some of the best I’ve had, the food far exceeded expectations, and for the first time, I felt there was a real alternative to Starbucks.
But my excitement quickly turned to disappointment:
No labeling. Cups don’t have names or order details, so you can’t tell whose drink is whose—or if your almond milk latte is really almond milk (a serious issue for people with allergies).
Broken app. Coffee Fellows’ app rarely works. Even the “new” version hasn’t let me log in.
Slow service. I’ve waited over 20 minutes for my orders, even when the store wasn’t busy. They’re consistently understaffed and lack proper systems for optimal efficiency.
I truly want Coffee Fellows to succeed here. Their product is outstanding, but unless they fix these basic but critical issues, I don’t see how they’ll compete...
