So I’m driving by and see balloons, hear mariachi music, lots of people and realized it was a grand opening. I decide to stop and check it out, you know who doesn’t like fresh tortillas? I see that they sell fresh corn and flour tortillas but they also sell food. So I think to myself why not? It’s lunch time! So I buy a bunch of stuff to try. Tortillas of course, barbacoa, carnitas, rice, charro beans, agua fresca. Gosh I was hungry! I get home super excited to try everything and what a disappointment. The rice was dry, the carnitas were extremely fat and almost had no flavor, the salsa was super watery, sad. The only good thing was the barbacoa and the tortillas. The special includes a chicken tortillas and 2 sides (rice and beans) and chile for $20 plus tax! Chicken is well seasoned not salty! Flour tortillas are larger but thinner ( flexible and made there ) I love they are a little thinner but bigger to make a burrito ! Corn tortillas are light and fluffy! They do get hard quick so eat as many within 2 days! Chile mocajete is earthy and yet fresh medium spicy Chile verde is super fresh and HOT but oh so good! Came here with my girlfriend. The lady took our order and when I was ordering she kept looking at my girlfriend as if she wanted her to "translate" for her. I only ordered one thing and said it exactly as it was spelled on the menu. Horchata tasted like straight up milk. Not even sweet. Milk leftover in my bowl after eating Cinnamon Toast Crunch would taste better than that.
