Summary: Super nice staff, disappointing food.
Service: Everyone was super nice and even with 20 or so people around customer wise they were very quick with our food.
Ambience: it's a food stand overlooking the beautiful north island mountains. Absolutely gorgeous (as long as it is not rainy).
Food: after reading so many positive reviews we were really excited. I think after so many disappointing food experiences on Kauai, we were really hoping for a homerun. Unfortunately, this too fell flat. The cold brew coffee was extremely bitter and they seemed really confused that we didn't want milk or sugar. It seems like the cold brew was NOT made to be drank black. The hibiscus tea and green juice were okay but nothing compared to the Kauai Juice Co. juices. The falafel bowl definitely fit the bill of traditional "health food" that people complain about being bland and cardboardy. The falafel were not warm, not crunchy, and more like bean balls than falafel. The bowl itself was filled with more raw cabbage as filler than anything with actual substance or flavor. The worst offender was the acai bowl. We pride ourselves in eating a LOT of acai worldwide. This by far was our leasy favorite. The acai mix was extremely sweet and almost like thick ice cream. It was heavy and not refreshing. The granola was chewy and did not taste fresh. Lastly, when paying $15+ per plate, we would expect a full bowl. The toppings were about 1/4 a banana and 4 slices of guava, not the pile hile bowls other people seem to get.
With the parking fiasco that is there and the price, we...

Maybe you're thinking that all bowls are created equal in Kauai. Or maybe you think once you've seen a view of those Princeville mountains, you've seen them all. Or maybe you're thinking that you've had Hawaiian coffee elsewhere on the island so you don't need to try this coffee...
I thought that too. Nourish was my favorite place to eat in Kauai. The view over the Hanalei valley was the best you can get from Princeville. The savory bowls we had (we ordered one then had to get a second even though we went mid-afternoon after lunch) were delicious. The coffee I had was the best I had in Hawaii...I had the iced brew with macadamia nut milk. My wife had a hibiscus drink that was tasty as well. Portions may be a little on the smaller side but are just fine for lunch.
We were just bummed we discovered this place on our last day in Princeville. Will visit again when we make our way...

The food, the snacks, the drinks! It all serves as a reminder of how NOURISHING an organic farm to your belly meal, can feel.
If you’re in a hurry you can pre order, if you’re looking to fill your day you can enjoy the hike to the beach down to the RIGHT of the fork at the end of the road.
The views from the stand are breathtaking. You can even see the farm in the valley below where some of the ingredients are grown! (Even my cloudy day photo brings a smile to your face)
Getting to support local supply chains, local people, and a group of kind hardworking sisters, it doesn’t get better than Nourish Hanelei.
