The staff was professional and genuine. Appetizers and entree arrived in a timely manner. Caprese salad was outstanding, they make their own mozzarella in house and the sauce was incredible. GET the side dish that is a 5$ roll to dip in the extra sauce, butter also comes with the roll and the butter was deeeelish! Sweet potato chips were ultra thin and crispy but melted in your mouth, the texture was amazing! The creamy pablano dipping sauce was beyond compare. Filet cooked perfectly and ultra tender. Garlic mashed potatoes not your ordinary mashed taters. Serving portion for the 7oz filet with veggies was generous. Also got the lobster tail and it was huge and cooked perfectly, so tender. The ulu gnocchi was interesting with the absinthe cream sauce with Marlin. Unusual and it least favorite dish of the evening For dessert we shared the banana and strawberry rolls with salted caramel gelato. The dish had colorful small flower petals that we all thought were bitter, but they almost had a cherry flavor. Perhaps they were intended to offer contrast to all the sweet elements. Paying the tab was done in a timely manner. Oh, and, we messed up the day of our reservation and showed up a day early! We waited at the bar, got lucky to get the seats as other guests had just gotten up to leave, and had apps and drinks while waiting an hour to get a table. Reservations are highly recommended, just pay attention to the date in the text message you'll receive from then asking you to confirm your reservation. Atmosphere was unbeatable. Worth the 80 minute round trip from Poipu to Kapaa. On the way home we played 70s and 80s rock and sang the entire w6as back to our condo.

Wow! This my go to restauraunt on ALL the islands and my favorite place to recommend to anyone to get the WOW factor. Chef Sean is incredibly talented. I have dined here with a variety of friends and family and everytime that is the word we are all left with. The service is unmatched. We always feel incredibly welcomed from the minute we step into the restauraunt. Ryan is our fave server and he's almost always there providing us with the best service. The ambiance is always beautiful since it is beachfront. Occasionally (wednesdays) there is a live band playing and it just adds to the Aloha vibe. The food is my favorite of course but the drinks are amazing. There's a mezcal mixed cocktail made with Honeycomb and I love the smokey taste with the sweet. My favorite go to is the poke, it's always fresh and not overburdened with sauce and extras. It's paired with a microgreen that has a citrus addition to it. We had these kimchee buns one time that I NEED to have again. Around Thanksgiving we came and had the special; Lobster and Elk Ribeye and it was enough for two of us to share and it was some od the best Lobster I've had. The caprese salad with the housemade Burrata is also a favorite and I find myself scraping the plate for every bite. There is a great happy hour as well and I usually go with whatever special they are having. All the food is fresh, local and sustainable (as much as possible) and I absolutely love that. It can get busy so I recommend a reservation. And don't forget to order dessert to because it's worth it to end your dinner right.

Great spot for ocean-front dining on local food (5/5 green stars) Was there for happy hour (4-6 pm every day) and happy to see that they had the excellent Hanalei IPA (Kona Brewing) on tap ($4 during happy HH) – a delicious not-to-hoppy IPA with passionfruit, orange, and guava. Also had two cocktails ($6 each during HH) – a Thai Martini and Kauaiian Punch, both excellent. The Okinawan sweet potato chips ($8) are a must-have. They’re more like nachos, with melted smoked poblano cheese and green onions. Delish! The warm bean salad ($12) was OK – I found the beans to be a little under-seasoned and undercooked. Easily fixed! Great beachfront location and good service too. I’m also giving them 5/5 Green Stars for social and environmental impact, based on these reasons: • They say: “We use local sources for almost 90 percent of our ingredients and work closely with Kauai's farmers and fishermen to provide you with best and freshest of everything.” • True to this, they are very specific about where some of their ingredients come from (e.g., “Makweli Ranch grass-fed burger” and “Organic West Coast Clams”). • There’s a fair selection of items for vegetarians and vegans. And I think they are good at adapting (I had the warm bean salad without the bacon). A lot of local fish too. • Decent selection of local beer on tap. The Kona brewery does a lot in terms of sustainability (solar energy, water conservation, GHG emissions, use of local ingredients), community involvement, and fundraising.

We are staying at the Waipouli Beach Resort and were thrilled to discover this restaurant just steps away. We were able to get away from the kids for a night and leave them with our teenager for an adult dinner, but still be on the property. The location is fantastic, right on the beach, and the atmosphere is fun (though a bit loud). The food was great and the drinks were fun (the bartender made a delicious custom drink for me since all the drinks on the menu were so sweet). Igredients are local (fish, and vegetables, meat is not), fresh, and high quality. If I didn't have any dietary restrictions, that would be the end of my review and Oasis would certainly get five stars from me.

But, I have Celiac Disease and have to be careful to avoid gluten. I was looking forward to my experience because there was a special allergy menu and my server was very knowledgeable. I asked for the short ribs (without the sauce and fried rice made it gluten free) and the server suggested that I get the curry with the short ribs added instead because it would be a little dry without the sauce. I had actually be torn between the curry and the short ribs so this was perfect. When it came, I took a bite, delicious! Unfortunately, I had let my guard down and wasn't as careful to inspect my food as usual because they seemed to be set up for food allergies so well. It was only after that bite that I noticed there was a sauce on the short ribs. The server was asked about this, he took the plate to the chef to ask, and came back and let me know that, unfortunately, what I saw was indeed the sauce. Several members of the wait staff apologized profusely, another meal was brought out promptly, and I was assured that this was very out of character for their kitchen (which I believe). Unfortunately, the rest of the meal was ruined for me - the food was delicious, but I was no longer able to enjoy the time with my husband because I was worried about the illness that was certainly to come because of the mix-up. Additionally, I was told dessert would be on them for the mix up. We ended up not getting dessert, so I thought perhaps something else would be comped (my soup perhaps? a drink?). Unfortunately no. We paid the whole check and then I spent the entire night in and out of the bathroom paying for my meal another way.

I still gave the restaurant 4 stars because had I not had a food allergy, it would have been great, and I do believe that they are very prepared in general for dietary restrictions. I just had a rare negative experience, which I wanted to share for those who do have food allergies so that they are aware they this restaurant does have options, but that they also need to be vigilent lest my experience...

Garden Island Best Oasis. Aloha!!!!

This is my second time to not only the Garden Island of Kaui'i but second time to Oasis on the beach. When I visited last year I had such a great experience from the personnel, to the food, to the drinks, and to the view I had to come back. This time however I had my best friend with my, my boo/my wife, and I told her that I had to take her here....no exceptions. You should ask for reservations if you want to sit at a table but otherwise chill at the bar. I have nothing against the personnel working hard at the tables but sitting at the bar is where it is at. You know you hear some GREAT conversations and end up with a dinner and show. LOL. We sat down and Caden cheerfully greeted us with a huge smile. You can tell he is a great person from the get go. We asked him about drinks and then asked him about any specials. He recommended the Low Quat Old Fashion. DAMN it was good and we aren't Old Fashion (the drink) people. He allowed us to try the low quat itself (simple syrup) and it was tasty. He was right on point with this drink that I had two and my boo took down three like some practicing BJJ on that drank. ; ). For appetizers we had the chips (must order) and Fried Wonton (another good one) and enjoyed while sipping those drinks. When it came down to dinner he was very thorough in his explanations. My boo decided on the filet with lobster tail. We have not had great experience with steak lately. One was on the Big Island at the Fish Hopper. Very bland and overcooked. Sorry to digress. But her steak was well flavored and the Lob was good. I don't even like it. Could it be the atmosphere and Caden that helped make everything taste better....could be. I ordered the special of Striped Marlin with Bread Fruit Gnocchi with veggies. I never had Striped Marlin. I fish for them but always release them. I do a lot of fishing and release most of what I catch except Mahi and Yellow Fin. The captain I just fished with on the Big Island mentioned they were tasty so when presented I had to try it. IT WAS AMAZING. So the food, drinks, and appetizers were absolutely amazing. However, the fun was with Caden and Justin. These two guys are the reason you should sit at the bar. They are funny, friendly, talk to you like they know you and make your experience on this Oasis one to remember. They work really well as a team. I know I had an amazing experience last year but this one was way better and glad my boo was around to experience it. I cannot wait to come back to the Garden's...

Book a table NOW ⭐️ THE BEST dining experience on the island! From the moment we stepped into Oasis on the Beach in Kapa'a, Kauai, we were treated to impeccable service and mouthwatering cuisine. The quality, taste, and presentation of every dish surpassed our expectations. We stumbled upon this gem for a nice dinner spot and were blown away by the flavors and attention to detail. Our experience was made even more memorable thanks to our super friendly and helpful server, Henry, whose warmth and attentiveness added an extra layer of enjoyment to our evening. And let's not forget about the breathtaking view of the ocean, which provided the perfect backdrop to our meal, enhancing the overall ambiance of the restaurant. We initially planned to celebrate my sister's golden 30th birthday at 1Kitchen Hanalei Bay, but after experiencing the culinary delight at Oasis, we canceled that reservation without hesitation and can’t wait to celebrate here instead. It was simply that good! From the cocktails, uniquely crafted and bursting with flavor, to what can only be described as the best burger we've ever tasted, every bite was a culinary delight. Special mention must be made of the fresh baked bread – it was so light and fluffy with the best whipped butter! And let's not forget about the best dessert ever, the apple banana spring rolls with the most tasting amazing ice cream. We cannot wait to return and indulge in more of the delectable dishes offered at Oasis. Hands down, this was the best meal we had during our time on the island. If you're looking for an unforgettable dining experience in Kauai, look no further than Oasis on the Beach. We're already counting down the hours until our next reservation! (Everything was so good we ate it so fast, so next time we’ll take photos to update...
