We were so happy to find this gem in Kauai, serving home cooked food and so close to our hotel near the royal coconut grove (walking distance from the Marriott Courtyard). We had the macadamia nut/ banana pancakes and Portuguese sausage breakfast specials, both under $10. The pancakes were absolutely wonderful, fluffy and sweet. Husband really liked his breakfast too, meat was grilled perfectly. The service was quick and friendly, and if you order coffee they bring you your own little pot.
Very reasonable prices, probably the best on the island for breakfast. There seemed to be a lot of locals dining, which is always a good sign. We plan to come back and check out the plate lunch specials.
It is a cash only establishment, but there is an ATM right out side. Give this place a try, especially if you are looking for good local flavors and want to step outside of your standard hotel breakfast options. You won’t be...
Read moreOmg, if you want to try local home cooked food that the locals love, try this place first! They have so many selections and everything is delicious. It is a local small business restaurant that's been around for many moons. All the locals stop by for dine in or take out.
Everything was hot and fresh. Delicious for every palate.

We all tried a variety of dishes and you cannot go wrong with anything. They will be your must stop everytime you visit the island.
Every plate you can share pretty much. We had leftovers and guess what? Still delicious the next day.
Oriental plate, mix plate gives you a variety. Loco moco and hamburger steak were all onolicious.
Highly recommended! Check this local restaurant and...

Hopefully treatment of tourists guests gets better... As for the food, it's really good and definitely worth the visit alone. If you're a tourist and you're going to come in, don't expect to be catered to or even treated the same as other guests... But you will definitely like the food as it's very authentically made and full of flavor. I'd still eat there again even with the bad service. Still gave it five stars because the food is that good. Without the food being as high I would have given...
