We always loved Panera and was so happy that there's a new Panera in Kearny that opened near where I live which is in N Arlington. My son and I went there today had our lunch, as usual food was good there were lots of people, service was OK it was busy. Still food and service was as expected like in any Panera branch , it was nice and clean. Unfortunately, my son and I felt that we were kinda discriminated in this location . The managers of the location were handing out Panera tumblers and coupons to almost everyone table by table and everyone coming in and passing them except us , she skipped our table and gave everyone else each customer a tumbler and when we were leaving she just said thank you for coming and didn't ask us if we want their giveaways. Do not get me wrong , I don't need anymore tumblers because I have dozens of them in my house. It was just that we felt like we were not welcomed in that branch . I don't know what to think of that . After paying was told to move forward to the second stop sign and they'd bring out my food (despite no cars behind me). I waited for 30 mins and had to go inside to ask where my food was. Manager was apologetic and offered a pastry which was nice but it was all really frustrating. To make it worse, when I got back to my car and opened the bag, the container of dressing was half empty (had to go in again) and the bread they gave looked like someone had already eaten most of it, see pic. Read moreThis is the second time I’ve gone to the Panera location in Kearny, NJ, and once again, my order was completely wrong. I ordered the 2 for 2 deal with the steak and mozzarella sandwich and a bowl of broccoli cheddar soup. Instead, I received a turkey bacon sandwich and French onion soup—neither of which I asked for.
It’s unacceptable that this keeps happening. It feels like the staff are just putting whatever they want in the bag without checking the order. I expect better attention to detail and basic accuracy when paying for a meal. Please address this issue with your team.
P.S. I never have a problem at any other Panera Bread. I'm done wasting my time at this...
