I've been going to this gym for years.. I dont work for them, have no stock in LA fitness and I have NOT been paid to leave a review . I'm just a regular LA Fitness dude (here in Kearny or sometimes the one in Clifton).. The shakes here are great.. Contrary to some of the negative reviews YOU DO AND WILL get what you read in the menu. Plain and Simple! Some negative reviews claim they use a small scoop, some claim the shakes are all ice, one reviewer even said they have a terrible boss (um "spiteful employee much"?).. Anyone who is a regular gym body knows scoops and protein content can vary depending on whatever brand you are using and scoops will NOT all be the same size.. Their Nutrition bars are using the exact amount of grams required for the amount of protein they advertise on the menu. If anything what I like to do is ask them to please put any extra shake left over in the blender in a separate small cup (which the batista ALWAYS does happily) that way you won't lose any protein you paid for.. People gotta stop being negative and posting stuff they haven't put any...

But when I watched the employee make it, she only used half the serving of the orgain protein powder — only 10grams of protein.
When I called it out and asked to speak with a manager, the worker called her and I was told that the signage is “wrong.” Seriously? That sign has been up for over 4 years and still hasn’t been corrected — but you’re happy to keep charging people based on it?
That’s straight-up false advertising, and brushing it off with a weak excuse doesn’t cut it. If you’re going to make health claims and charge premium prices, then you need to back it up — or fix your signage and stop misleading customers.
You’ve lost my trust, and unless something changes, my...
Read moreHorrible boss, overpriced shakes. They give a tiny scoop of protein and 99.9 percent of the shake is ice. They sell expired things all the time. I wouldn’t be surprised if the fruits were expired. Will never be going back ever again, the first time i went i got explosive diarrhea, and was in the bathroom for 4 days. Worst part was i paid 2 dollars for half a teaspoon of peanut butter. Do not support...
