Well if you really want me to share the details of my experience then I shall tell you what happened when I went there. I went in and showed the guy how there was a defect in one of their products from the manufacturer and he knew all about it and he basically told me to just live with it and I'm being ridiculous for bringing it back to him, after quite some back-and-forth he realized it was definitely broken and that I wasn't going to live with it and eventually he realize he had to return my money but not without some back and forth and telling me I was being "ridiculous" for asking him to return my money for a defective product he was selling me. He actually used the word ridiculous in front of all the other people around me. All because I was returning a product that was defective that he was trying to sell me.oh and one last comment their prices are way way overpriced so don't go there unless you expect to pay top top dollar. And that is my honest experience and I am absolutely 100% truthful in this happening.and if the guy who works at the store reads this he knows he called me ridiculous and he knows exactly that this event happened. By the way the owner of this establishment is extremely nice and I like him, he's very friendly. I just wish his prices were lower because more people would shop there and he would get a lot more business in...
Read moreFantastic Toy Store With Great Selection, But Pricey
This is a fantastic toy and hobby store with a wide variety of products. They have everything from baby essentials—like car seats, strollers, and baby furniture—to toys and hobbies for all ages. Whether you’re looking for stuffed animals, educational toys, science kits, puzzles, Legos, model kits, train sets, or RC vehicles, the selection is excellent.
However, one drawback is the pricing. I recently visited to buy a birthday present for my child's friend and found some significant price differences compared to online stores. For example, a Lego Technic car set was priced at $59.99 in the store but was available online for $38.49. Similarly, a STEM robotic hand kit was $49.99 in-store, but I found it online for $22.59—a difference of almost $30!
While I really enjoy supporting local businesses, it’s hard to justify such a large price gap, especially with the significant rising cost of living. I didn’t compare all prices, but based on these two items, the difference was significant. If you’re looking for convenience and love browsing in person, this store is fantastic. But for budget-conscious shoppers, it might be worth checking prices online before making...
Read moreNestled in the last corner of the strip mall on key road in Keene is a little store called Toy City. The first time I visited I was surprised by the amount of different products available. Their offerings include toys, baby items (car seats, cribs, etc.), Board games, stuffed animals, models, model airplanes and parts, model trains and parts, role playing games, magic the gathering, pokemon, figurines, puzzles, books and more. The prices are extremely reasonable. If you look hard enough, there will be a cheaper price online, but not by much. When a product is readily available, I tend to support local businesses instead of shopping online. Be assured that even though they have a wide selection of products, there is a staff member that can answer your questions or give guidance for an appropriate product. I've purchased several board games which has given my family months of entertainment. I highly suggest this store for gifts or family...
