We Had reservations. Our waitress came to take our drink order but was very negative. She told us what time she came to work, that she had a table of 40 that was a last minuet reservation, and that table was her main focus. She took our drink order and disappeared. Over 30mins later we were served our drinks by a different waitress. Finally 45 mins later our waitress returned to take our order. Again we heard about her table of 40. We placed our order, waitress left. Waitress returned and informed us that there was no prime rib left, mind you that this was 6:30, no baked potato, no burgers, no scallops, plus there was a couple other items that they were out of. She left to give us a min to order something else. Again we heard about her table of 40 that called last min. Where we made reservations a week ahead of time. I asked when we were served crackers and some kind of cheese spread. I asked the server if it was spices, he said no. We were going to feed 3 toddlers this to keep them quiet. Luckily my son tried it first and it was loaded with horseradish! Our waitress told us not to order the pizza option for the kids because it was thin crust and not that good. My water glass was never refilled, as was 3 others in our party. The fried seafood was very good. The pot roast which is supposed to tender was tough, had to use a steak knife to cut. Decided to have a nice dinner tonight, and splurge on some nice seafood & steak (and a couple margaritas) as we don’t do that often. My fiancé ordered the Porterhouse steak (surf & turf) medium with onion rings. We received our order, and the steak was cooked more than well done, to the point that my fiancé could only stomach 3 bites. The onion rings had absolutely no flavor, and the margaritas tasted like they had no tequila, and strictly sour mix. We informed our server, stating we were dissatisfied with the food. She asked if a box was needed, to which we declined, and sent back the steak & onion rings. She simply frowned, and apologized. When we received the bill, everything we ordered was fully priced. We spoke to the female owner, and she asked if the surf portion was okay (shrimp), to which we said it was fine. After she took our bill, she brought it back and ONLY the steak was discounted 50%. So, essentially we got an $10 discount on an $30 meal. Unfortunately, Tempestas management is lacking in customer satisfaction. After having been in the restaurant industry, the standard is 86ing the whole meal, or 50% off the entire bill. Unfortunately I was not able to speak my mind, as I could not find management by the time we left. Also note- if you ever have any issues, it’s absolutely impossible to get in touch with anybody via phone, at both numbers listed. Had Tempesta's cater our son and daughter in laws wedding. Long overdue review. Sorry guys. First off, my family has been visiting Tempesta's since they were in the Gomarlo's building in west Swanzey NH and have always enjoyed the food and hospitality. They knocked this one out of the park. They came to our venue very early in the morning and began the cooking process which lasted almost ten hours of cooking and preparing. Not a person left hungry and most went for seconds. This family-owned business is not just friendly, but they become your family as well. It is like it's their family's wedding as well they make everything so special. Little Jimmy can cook just as good of a meal as his famous dad. If you are planning a wedding event or just family event at their beautiful location in Keene, we highly recommend this family for all your family's needs as far as food and beverage goes. There prices are more than fair, and they treat you with respect and dignity normally reserved for the high dollar places. The food and taste were Excellent and little Jimmy thank you again my brother you are the best. As for our family there will never be any other choice.
