Ocean Sushi and Teriyaki — Restaurant in Keizer

I truly do love this place. I was across town, in West Salem. And I noticed online it said the lunch special was until 4. I was shocked, so excited! Couldn't wait, rushed to get over there. Even tho it's 100 degrees outside, I wanted their miso soup! I couldn't wait to taste the sashimi, it's new for me and enjoy it, but I couldn't wait to experience a different kind of fish. Mouth drooling... So I pull up, @ 340 (I don't feel that's "late" to get a special)... I was seated quickly. Service was prompt. But when I looked at my menu, it has been white outed over the price (12.95 to 14.95). Not a big deal!!! Still a good price for what I wanted. But then the 4 o'clock had been whited out too... To 3..... I looked at my phone, all over Salem, trying to find the best deal bc I'm a single person and moneys tight. Got so excited bc I went here 2 weeks b4 and had an amazing lunch special. Shocked it said 4... So, the waitress says to me, after I was clearly disappointed that I had missed out, "oh what time is it?!" SHE cared. And asked the cook was thats the rule or whatever. The cook, in their language, put her down. I could see it on her face that she wanted to just honor the (happily) new price and it be after hours. There wasn't a single soul in the restaurant. But the cook, in his own language made me feel as tho she was reprimanded to even ask such a "dumb" request. She was a sweetheart, lovely, but screw that bald guy behind the counter. And to think I even wanted to sit and watch at their sushi bar since I was a single person . I'm going to go eat sushi...

UPDATE 8/5/23 - Went back and tried four more rolls; Red Rose, Spider, Crunchy Salmon and Lotus. Consistency across the board with presentation, freshness and taste. Highly recommend the Red Rose and Lotus - OUT OF THIS WORLD GOOD. Ocean Sushi is legitimately a contender for best sushi in Oregon.

Tried this for the first time today. Had the Vegetable Yakisoba, Spring Rolls, Panda and Caterpillar rolls.

The Yakisoba was very tasty and piping hot and would highly recommend as some of the best noodles we've had anywhere in the area. Same goes for the Spring Rolls - hot, fresh and flavorful!

Ocean Sushi's rolls are put together extremely well - presentation is spot on and appetizing, and the taste was out of the park great. This is truthfully better sushi than we've had at other upscale spaces like Nagoya, and we definitely intend to go back to Ocean for more.

This is hands down my favorite sushi restaurant I've found thus far, I've pretty much become a regular lol. All ingredients are fresh and everything I've tried is delicious! As far as appetizers go, they are all great honestly. But some of my favorites are the cucumber and seaweed salads, fried calamari and miso soup. I always order the Salmon Nigiri as well as the Oregon Salmon Roll or the Spicy Salmon Roll because I'm a huge fan of salmon in general lol. But I've tried almost every roll now and they are all top tier no matter what you choose! I'll also mention that the ramen bowl is delicious, as well as the Teriyaki and Yakisoba noodles. The waitresses are always super friendly and funny and they make the atmosphere and overall experience that much better. 10/10...
