Don't judge a book by its cover. Sweet Home Thai is located in a residential building along the Keizer business strip. The steps leading up to the front door entrance are worn/outdated with chipped paint and the deck is covered in faux green turf with a lonesome metal wire table and chair. Walk through the door and you'll be amazed with the beautiful interior decor, which is a stark contrast to the exterior of the building. And the food is just as amazing and very delicious. Even though I’ve ordered takeout from here over the past year I wanted to write a post about my most recent experience. After a good bike ride at Willamette Mission State Park I was definitely needing some good dinner & thought of this place as it’s along the way back home. I called to place my order and received an emphatic warning about the very, VERY spicy papaya salad and heavenly noodle dishes I wanted to pick up. So I opted for a third dish of a mild Massaman curry as a backup. When I got home I was impressed with what I received. All my food was bagged up in an eco-friendly green bag, compliments of the restaurant. I got extra rice as the friendly and emphatic worker (owner?) had warned me again about how spicy some of my dishes were and that having an extra bite of plain rice would help me should I find my mouth on fire. She carefully and well wrapped up the salad and noodle sauce separately so that they wouldn't spill during my transport. There was SO MUCH food that was packed in my to go containers. I had leftovers for a couple of days and didn't mind the spicy, sweet, tart flavors of the spicy papaya salad that melded over that period of time. I certainly got my value in the food I ordered both in quality and quantity. I highly recommend this place! Show this local small business some love.

Don't judge a book by its cover! If you’re looking for a dining experience that combines exceptional service with mouthwatering food, check out Sweet Home Thai in Keizer. From the moment you step through the door, you’re greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that sets the tone for a delicious meal. The service at Sweet Home Thai is amazing. The owners are husband and wife, very friendly, attentive, and genuinely committed to ensuring that every guest feels like a valued patron. Whether you need a recommendation for your meal or have dietary restrictions, they are more than willing to go the extra mile to accommodate your needs. It’s this level of service that makes you want to return. The menu is small, but has a blend of authentic dishes and flavors. Curries, stir-fries, or my personal favorite... the Salad Rolls... they are AMAZING. This husband and wife team take great pride in their dishes. The interior of the restaurant has warm lighting and an inviting décor and makes both casual dinners and special occasions feel memorable. Sweet Home Thai is a gem in Keizer that deserves all the praise it receives. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, make sure to stop by—your taste buds will thank you!

This was the absolute best Thai food (I’ve had so far in my 12 years here) in Oregon. We can’t wait to come back and try all the other dishes asap, and will not go anywhere else for Thai in Salem forevermore. The salad rolls were enormous and so fresh and delicious. We tried the drunken noodle with beef, and yellow curry with chicken to share, and the flavors and portions were enormous there as well. Everything is so fresh and lovingly made, even the Thai iced tea stood out as especially rich with a good strong and fresh tea flavor. I savored every sip. Service was so warm and welcoming, we felt like beloved regulars immediately. We ate like kings and still had generous leftovers, which we enjoyed all over again reheated as breakfast the next day. Truly cannot wait to come back and go through the entire menu and try it all, one visit at a time. Thanks so much for the incredible meal!

This place is AMAZING! Don't let the exterior fool you- the inside is absolutely gorgeous. The food here is the best Thai food I've ever had, and the portions are very large for the cost. I ordered the chow mein with tofu and even after eating to being full enough to burst, I have enough leftovers to eat for all 3 meals tomorrow. The egg rolls are HUGE and they have lots of filling. They're also super crispy and they come with a wonderfully sweet sauce. The curry is the best my boyfriend and I have ever had in our lives, and we've had lots of curries. The Thai tea is strongly brewed and the sweetness of the milk goes beautifully with the bitterness of the black tea. The food is presented beautifully with edible flowers and looks like something out of a magazine. It's almost too pretty to eat.

Aside from the food, the service is absolutely amazing. Our server was super friendly and very good at checking in on us without interrupting our meal or conversation. She is one of the best servers I have ever had the pleasure of interacting with. She was also very good at describing the flavors and ingredients of the meals. When I ordered tofu for my entree, she asked if I was vegan or vegetarian so that she could make my dish to my liking.

Overall, this restaurant is one of the best if not THE best I have ever been to. Every 5 star review this restaurant gets is well deserved. If you decide to eat here, get ready to have one of the best experiences...

I called to make a to-go order, last night. I was told depending on what I wanted it could be 30 minutes to 2 hours because they were so packed. I told them I wanted a chicken pad thai and a pork pad thai. She said that if I got two chicken pad thai's I would be alright. So I changed my order to two chicken pad thai's medium spicy.

We got there and it was completely dead. We got our food and took it home. It was cooked very well, however, it was definitely spicier than medium. I have literal blisters in my mouth and on my lips. I have NEVER had that happen before. There were only about 4 pieces of chicken per box, too. We were given very generous portions. So generous that we could feed 3-4 people on one order. I tried a few bites, today, to see if I was just being a weeny. The pad thai holds up extremely well to next day consumption but the spice is just too much and I adore heat.

I would definitely eat here again. I would order slightly spicy. I would probably only get one order, too. I will adjust my rating if the next order does not give me blisters and I am able to order what I want. --- I took one star off because it was not medium spicy and one star off because they were not busy and didn't want to cook what I wanted. The person ringing me up said...
