Stopped at Sonic to get some lunch for my family. I always use the Sonic app to order and pay. I noticed when the food was brought to my car that I was given a medium drink instead of a large that I payed for. I spoke with a staff member and told them I received the wrong size. She checked my order in their system and said I ordered a medium. I told her that I have my receipt and it shows I ordered a large. She again said that I ordered a medium but she would be me a large. When she brought me the different size I showed my receipt to her and told her I’m not sure why it had a medium on their side. Again she told me that I ordered a medium. I told her that I did not that my receipt shows a large. She then asked me if that receipt was for today. I showed her the date and time of my order. Again she told me I ordered a medium. She gave me my large drink and then wanted the medium drink back (That kinda seemed weird because you know she had to dump it.) I told her thank you and that the system must be acting up. Again she told me I ordered a medium. As I was starting to talk and she walked away.
I’m not upset about the drink size issue. Mistakes happen and it seemed more like an issue with the app. What is frustrating is how I was treated by the employee. I felt like she thought I was lying and trying to get a free drink. There was absolutely no understanding from my perspective even after I showed her proof that I ordered and payed for a large drink. Today, I ordered a grilled cheese. The first one that came out had hard and unmelted cheese. I pressed the button and requested a correctly made one. When the girl brought the new sandwich, I was holding up the old one, hoping to show her the issue. In a hateful tone, she said, "You have to give me the other one." Apparently, she didn't understand why I was holding it up in the first place.
On to sandwich #2. When something needs to be remade, one would expect them to get it right. Not in this case. The second sandwich was burnt to a charcoal on the inside with barely any cheese at all.
At this point, I simply requested a refund. The same girl came out again, but now she was visibly angry. I handed her the sandwich, and she snapped, saying, "You have to give me the receipt." She stormed off, and when she returned, she handed me the receipt, informing me that it would take 7 days for the credit to be processed.
Why do they take it so personally? It's just a grilled cheese. You would have thought they had spent the whole day cooking a Thanksgiving dinner, and I had spat on it and thrown it all...

LET ME SAY IT 1 MORE TIME 45 MINUTES........ They gave her the poor excuse of having only 1 car hop when their were like 6 people out back chilling and smoking..... Why are we chilling and smoking when you are slam full of customers? It makes absolutely no sense what so ever, she also bought a regular cheesecake milkshake (no added flavor she just wanted the cheesecake) it then comes with cherries all in it and it's so milky and watery almost like they just opened up a jug of milk added a little flavor and cherries and sent it out...... And yet again no cup holder and said milkshake ended up spilling all over the car. This location has zero accountability and zero management but I guess that's what happens when kids are in charge of themselves. Apperently this location needs a whole overhaul.
